+1I respectfully disagree with Lollipuff jumping the gun on this boy's authenticity. Have they seen this 15C braided boy in person, or do they base the true color of the hardware on that one picture in their blog only? Furthermore, silver hardware (with whatever undertone) can be very hard to photograph due to it being highly reflective. Photographers who don't know how to control and shape light therefore can fail to capture the true color of the metal.Hi thanks for the response!
I have requested more pictures with the above.
However, I also sent in an authentication request to Lollipuff and they responded with the following:
We regrettably confirm that this item is considered a counterfeit Chanel. The hardware color on this boy bag is not as expected for its style. The silver should have a grayish tone for the Cruise 2015 style.
While we were able to review this item, most of the time, we need higher-series Chanel boys and classic flaps to accompany their serial card at a minimum. These bags are highly super-faked, and these items need to be scrupulously reviewed. Also, when a higher-series boy or classic flap is being re-sold, it is MUCH harder to sell if the serial card is no longer with it. A lot of people want to see this aspect due to the counterfeit issues that accompany these types of bags. For reference, the bag can be found here: https://www.lollipuff.com/blog/295/...ection-handbag-bag-size-price-reference-guide
Does this mean the bag is not authentic?
Thanks again for the help!
And maybe it's my aging eyes, but depending on the picture and lighting, I do very much see gray/gunmetal undertones in the hardware of this boy on Tradesy.
I stand by my initial observation that I see no cause for concern so far, pending the pictures I requested above.
don't see any red flags either
