This bag is from 2010. The interior design,interior piping, MIC tag, and leather has changed since this bag was produced. The newer rocco bags have thicker lining and leather.
I don't know why it smells like gasoline.

Oh okay! I just wanted to make sure that the 2010 one didnt include the two pockets. Because I bought it 'pre-owned' and I didnt know if its real or fake since this is my first AW bag. And yeah for some reason the odor was bad. It was in a box for 2 days because it was getting delivered to me. I just received it today and I heard on a forum somewhere that it shouldnt smell so I started freaking out! lol. But I just hope its authentic because I paid a lot for it :/ and no it didnt come with the strap unfortunately, why?

After a day the smell was gone. How long did you have yours and where did you get it? boxermomof2 authenticated mine but my bag looks exactly like yours so I started freaking out too. I tried measureing mine and it was 12"L too...

I would freak out too! because you know spending a lot of money on something that might not be real is nervewrecking! I really hope mine is authentic :/ And I just got it today so its been in a box 2 days prior to when i received it. Hi I'm new here! I just purchased a purse and I wanted to know if this is a fake. On the AW website, it says it has two internal pockets and a zipper compartment. But what I received only has a zipper compartment and NO internal pockets. and it kind of has a distinct bad odor.

PLEEEEEASE HELP if you have a rocco or now how to authenticate I think it might be a fake and I paid good hardworking money for it

Here is more pics... but by the odor and that it doesn't have the 2 internal pockets it just seems so be most likely a fake and when I put pressure on the two handles it makes a squeaky noise

The pebble pattern for the bag you received (photos posted in your first post) is different from the one in the listing.
Are the photos you posted yours, or the seller's listing photos?

Can you post a link to the auction you won.

I'm obsessed with pebbles, so I can see the difference in pebble patterns.
I do find it odd this seller has so many used rocco bags without shoulder straps.

It comes with the strap and it is actually the first version of the Rocco when it started to come with a strap. I know slight changes have been made with the design of the bag through the years. The whole bag itself is completely "flawless" (absolutely no red flag or problem with the MIC tag), but I noticed my strap is different from the ones that are sold now.

The part where the strap is "double" (the part supposed to go on your shoulder for more comfort, excuse my bad English....) is wider than the ones of the current straps. Also, Alexander Wang is stylized differently on the clasp.

I can't show you pictures unfortunately as I don't have it with me. Also, please excuse me if a similar question has already been answered, I looked for it but could not find anything.

I've owned rocco from almost every year it was produced and mine are the same width. The differences are the loops one vs two, and the clip is slightly different.

Receipts do not prove authenticity. There is no way of telling if the receipt goes with the bag you received. Some sellers buy authentic and sell a fake using the receipt from the authentic bag.
I really can't say if yours is authentic or not without photos.
You can post photos if you're unsure.
There are slight differences in Rocco bags since the bag was first produced, and I have seen a few authentic bags with minor abnormalities.

I've been to a AW counter with it, and discussing it with the SA who assumed it was real. I've also never come accross fake AW in France where I live thanks to the hard to pass customs (which doesnt prove anything, I know).

I think I'd better contact NAP just in case... Thanks a lot for your help, I may be back !

I'm confused. Did you purchase it from NAP? If so, you have no worries.
If you purchased it from eBay with a NAP receipt, there is no way of knowing if the receipt belongs to the bag you received.
In most cases, SA's are not a reliable source to authenticate.

The photos of the bag you received are of an authentic rocco.
It's not uncommon for sellers to recycle photos. That irritates me because pebbled rocco bags have different pebble patterns. I know, I'm super picky about my pebbles!
The seller clearly has more than one rocco for sale

The pebble pattern on the bag you received is different from the auction. The pebbles on your rocco are smaller.

Look at the side panel of your photo compared to the auction photos.

Again, without seeing the bag, I don't know. The reason I'm questioning it is because from my own experience looking at replicas, they usually get the shoulder pad on the strap wrong.

Oh i totally see the difference! Thank you for pointing that out, I really would have never known! Thats crazy how observant you are Also, I confronted the seller about my concerns and she said:

"Hi, I have two of the same bags, they are identical in style and size. I did not notice a difference in pebbling of the inside zipper pocket. My bags are older models...I always stuff the bags for photos so you can see the shape. I notice online when celebs wear this bag it is very limp and slouchy. I never deal with replicas, I hate fakes! I'm glad you like the bag. I love this bag. I had two for sale and I own various wang bags"

So I really hope shes being honest with me, but still wish I received the bag in her photo since it looks nicer
