Hi lovely ladies,

A friend of mine just bought this bag, however now she is concerned that it might not be genuine because it doesn't have an Alexander Wang patch on the inside. Wang is definitely not my strong point so I thought I'd check with you. Can you tell anything from these pictures?

It's missing an interior badge and a chain. Does this bag have a made in China tag?

I purchased this bag and will check the MIC tag when I get it, but can anyone authenticate in the meantime? I spent a good amount of time looking at Brendas, and the hardware, piping etc. seems to check out, as does the seller's history (mostly AW, but all in the same size, gently worn, etc. as though she knows someone at AW).

By the way, what should I be looking for in the MIC tag, i.e. what does a real one look like? Thanks!

My bag is missing a MIC tag and the stamped logo on the interior badge is the tiniest bit crooked. The seller also attempted to black out her return address on the postage box (but it's visible under the marker). If I open a dispute over authenticity, do I have to return the bag? I think it's a really, really good fake...

Out of curiosity, which chain is her bag missing? Also, should the strip of leather underneath the interior zip pocket be sewn in like that, or should there be two spherical silver pieces of hardware on either end?

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to write chain. Brenda has two chains. It's missing interior badge.

The stud at the end of the leather strip depends on the season the bag was made. Older bags have the stud.

Post interior photos of your bag. Yes, in many cases you will have to return the bag.

I see the MIC tag in the first photo. This looks like an older Brenda.
Okay, I blew the photo up in photobucket. It looks authentic to me.

Took this before I saw your reply, but I'm so glad to hear that -- you think so even with the crooked badge stamping (visible in 3rd photo)? Thanks so much, by the way! This thread is an awesome resource and you're so helpful boxermom :D
