I called AW customer service in NY and they said that they should match, but she sounded un-informed.

They are THE WORST! We had an eBay seller argue that her authentic AW bag does not have a MIC tag because AW CS told her that it does not exist. She swore only fakes had the tag.
The seller had an authentic bag, but refused to believe her bag had a MIC tag.....well, she found it a day later.

Where did you send the photos?
Can you post the photos in an online photo sharing...

If you are unhappy with the bag, I would contact the seller. The zipper should close.
All my brass hardware matches, but I have first gen brass (rocco, max fanny, tina).

I found it. Your bag is authentic.
The zipper is odd. It's either an AW quality control issue or- they changed hardware.
I received a leopard diego with a dust bag badge sewn inside.

the link you sent me from Forward had a similar issue with a darker zipper. Is that areal bag?

Yes this is an authentic bag. Forward by Revolve is a reputable AW retailer.

Wow!!! I have to tell you Boxermom that this was killin' me all night!!! I have an AW Rocco bag that I bought a few months ago from Barney's and I compared every single detail of the 2 bags right down to the stitching and they are exactly the same except for the zipper color. The zipper itself is exactly the same looking on both bags, it was just a color/tone issue, and it doesn't close all the way at the end (which I don't care about). My sister just bought this bag in Miami at Macy's and I called her last night and she said her zipper matched the hardward exactly, so I was worried. Then I called AW customer service in NY this morning and they said that they ALWAYS match exactly and they "would never let that happen as a quality control issue". She kept me on hold for a while and I could tell she really had no clue how to answer my question.

So you are saying that my bag is authentic? Have you ever seen this before where the zipper is a different tone, or is this a new one on you?

one last question......the studs on the bottom of the bag are a different shape than my Barney's of NY one with silver studs. These studs are more flat. I have one of the original issues of the Rocco bag (without a strap) and those studs are shaped different too. Are the newer Rocco's with brass hardward flat studs? There are pics of it in my Photobucket.

Yes, your bag is authentic. I've never noticed this until you called my attention to it.
Forward's bag has the rose gold tone to the zipper and so does Aloha Rag (another reputable retailer).

What is the style number of your bag? The style number will give us a clue what season the bag is from.
It would appear you have a newer bag.

the style # is 203102C

It's the same style number as Aloharag & Forward by Revolve.
Can you call them to ask about the zipper?

The details of the bag match up. Fakes can look authentic on the outside, but I've never seen one that had exact interior details.

The only other advice I can give you is to contact the seller to return the bag. The seller did not disclose the color difference.

This is getting more interesting by the minute. Forward by Resolve told me that they once got a batch in from AW where the zipper was darker than the hardwear on the bag, and then that never happened again when they got new orders in. They also told me that they got a few customer complaints. I guess there was a mistake in manufacturing at one time and they quickly resolved it. Nice of customer service at AW to not fess up to me about it on the phone this morning!! At least we both learned something new today, right? :)

Aloharag didn't really know anything about it. The photo on their site reflects it, but the person I spoke to has no clue.

I'm going to call AW again Monday morning and talk to a manager or senior person. I want to get to the bottom of it because that sort of stuff bugs me. I'm pretty good at this so I will let you know what they say. I bet they had to replace a bag or two (or 20) when that happened. I'm not the only one that picked up on it.

There are a few threads about AW quality control issues and customer service.
They are not easy to deal with.
It sounds like you are very unhappy with the bag. I would return it to the seller for a refund.
