Sounds like you got the same story from JAX that I did. At least it is consistent information. I can't wait to be bag twins!!! I think the saddle Outlaw is the perfect choice. It will go with everything and the fact that you can carry it on your shoulder is a big plus. Did you order it yet?
I just ordered it. If they ship it tomorrow, I'll have it Friday. Do you know if the dimensions are accurate? Is it really 15 1/2 in length? That seems a little large for me. If it's proportioned right, I won't mind, but I have the saddle bag 35 that I never carry even though I love the style. Also, I'm wondering how I'll feel about the opening and the sheen of the leather as well as whether or not I can give up the crossbody option. I'm hoping the positives will outweigh any reservations I'm having. And yes, camel is my favorite Coach color.

I think we're going to be bag twins. I wanted the Outlaw in chalk, but according to JAX, your purse is only going to be released in the two colors that are shown on their site in that style, and they have no other information about a different type of leather for that style either, only for the other two styles. She emphasized to me that the Coach 1941 collection is a limited edition. I love that purse, so I'm going to order the one you have even though it doesn't have the crossbody option. I think I will really enjoy wearing that one on my shoulder. Maybe Coach will release a chalk bag in the summer that I like, but I don't want to miss out on the Outlaw. I really love those turnlock pockets and the all suede interior, and the saddle color is nice and very versatile. I have a Nomad in saddle, but it's starting to bug me that it doesn't have a zipper, so I may give that one to my sister.

I may be mistaken, but I think you have both an Outlaw and a Rogue at the moment? If so, would you be able to give a comparison of the bags - weight especially, but also size and just an overview with your thoughts?

As well if you could do a side by side picture that would be great. I'm leaning towards the Rogue, but not 100% sure. I am more prone to shoulder bags, if the Outlaw doesn't have that option that may eliminate that right away.

My store is closing for renovations for 6 weeks and now I have no way of seeing these in person.

You might have your bag before I get mine lol! I am guessing the the measurements on Coach.com are accurate. I am fine with this since I don't like anything less than 13 inches in length. Also, once we see this bag in person I honestly think it won't be as shiny as it appears online.

Which Outlaw are you considering? I sent back the Outlaw 36 yesterday. On Friday, I will have the medium size Outlaw style no. 38188 that retails for $695 that has a 7 1/2 drop, so the drop is 1/2 longer than the Nomad, for reference. I believe that will fit my shoulder very comfortably. I will gladly take the pictures you are requesting on Friday. Also, there is a reveal of the largest Rogue that retails for $795 here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/outlaw-42-reveal-934781.html. Right now, I have two Rogues in Oxblood and Chalk, but I'm sending the chalk back tomorrow. The Outlaw 36 that retails for $595 is a satchel with a 4 inch drop for hand carry or to carry in the crook of your arm and that one also has a very nice crossbody strap. I loved that strap; it's very comfortable. As for the Rogue, it's a great purse that I love almost everything about, except the price. I personally have never paid that much for a purse. I'm normally a bargain shopper, love to get quality pieces on sale, but I will make exceptions, and since Coach is stating this is a limited special edition that won't go on sale that is one of my exceptions. The Outlaw is also a very nice purse. I'm really surprised there aren't more reveals on TPF. I know a few people seem to have reservations about the gap between the two zippers. On the Outlaw, I think you will really love the turnlock pockets, at least, I did, as well as the all suede interior. As for the leather, I'm not sure how I feel about the sheen. I know I didn't like it in the mineral color, but I didn't mind the sheen in the chalk, so I will have to see how I feel about it in the saddle color I ordered. For me, the difference between the Rogue and the Outlaw was with the Outlaw I felt it was a nice bag, but it wasn't in pebble leather and then I couldn't wear the 36 on my shoulder unless I used the crossbody strap for that, which wouldn't be my preference, and I didn't understand the purpose of that gap...was it just to be unique? But with the Rogue, I immediately loved it. If I were to get picky about the Rogue I could say that the two outside pockets are just open with no clasp and that may eventually bug me, but I doubt it. I do feel they could have priced it at $695 for that size. And I wish the middle section had suede instead of canvas, if so, I don't think I would've questioned the price. But, honestly, when I first saw the Rogue, those few reservations never came to my mind. Well, the price did, but again, I've never paid that much for a purse so naturally it would. As for the weight, I am in the minority but I don't find either bag to be heavy. Now, keep in mind, I am judging it empty. However, I don't carry a lot. I like to have the excess room to add things if needed. A couple people weighed both and I believe the Outlaw 36 is 2.5 pounds and the Rogue is 3 pounds. Let me know if you have any other questions. I don't mind answering them at all. I do think it may come down to you ordering it since you don't have a store near you and then returning it if you're not happy, especially since everyone's taste can vary. Coach has free shipping and free returns and they process returns quickly. I don't live near a store, if I did it would make all of this much easier. But I've processed a lot of returns in my hunt for some nice bags.

I didn't feel the one in chalk was shiny, but the mineral one was a little shiny. However, I love saddle so I may feel differently when I see that one.

Wow, thanks so much for all the info. I'm pretty small, 5 feet tall and size 6 and I really can't do (and don't like) big bags.

Just for reference, for me the Nomad is my favorite Coach bag of all time. I have it in oxblood and love it and am using it today. I love the smooth glovetanned leather, it's nice a lightweight and the perfect shoulder bag. I am considering another one if a PCE comes up and I get one.

I have paid more for bags than the Rogue but not Coach. Normally I only buy Coach bags with PCE because of my fear of them ending up at the outlets. However, I did recently purchase the Tea Rose Saddle bag at full price and my store manager told me if that ends up at the outlet he will personally refund me the difference lol.

It sounds like I may have to rule out the Outlaw then, if the smaller one is only hand held or crossbody it will make me crazy.

I also wasn't aware there were 2 size Rogues out now, but I would definitely want the smallest one. Now I have to hunt for pics of the 2 sizes.

If you want to feel a bit better about what you paid, I'm in Canada and the prices here are 15-20% more. I paid $900 with tax for my Tea Rose, it's $695 in the U.S. I think the Rogue here will be over $900 but now I'm confused about size as I didn't realize there were 2 sizes of Rogue.

Do you like pebbled leather or is your preference the smooth glovetanned leather? Is a shoulder bag with a crossbody your preference or could you do a purse that you could only carry by the shoulder or only carry crossboyd. I'm glad you told me what your favorite Coach bag is, but to me, the Nomad isn't small. Maybe with it only being 3 1/2 inches in width it feels smaller because it hugs you when you carry it by the shoulder, which is what I love about it. I just wish it had a zipper, and I also wished that when using it crossbody that shoulder strap didn't get in the way. For that reason, I only carry it by the shoulder. If you like a small/medium size bag, you may really like the Rogue. You can wear it three ways: by the shoulder, crossbody, and by the two short handles. However, keep in mind, when wearing crossbody, you are essentially connecting the two longer straps together so there's no way for you to adjust it, and I'm not sure how it would hang on you. I believe someone your height has it and said it hit her fine as a crossbody. I can't judge the weight because I don't feel it. Do you carry a lot in your purse? What color are you considering?

This is the only size Rogue I am seeing on the website. . . is there another size that people are ordering? And if so, is it bigger or smaller than this one?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the only one that's currently available, but a larger one is coming out, and I believe a smaller one may also be coming out as well. I'm not sure when, though. JAX could probably tell you.

I'm not really married to any type of leather - for me if I like the functionality of the bag I'm OK with any kind of leather and long as it's a nice quality. I guess if I had a choice I would always go smooth like the Nomad, but it's not a deal-breaker for me.

I never use cross-body bags, I even take cross-body straps off my bags and store them. I'm a slouchy shoulder bag girl all the way, which is why with Rogue I'd probably end up tucking those handles in. I love how it looks as a shoulder bag and the straps seem the perfect length.

OH the color that's speaking volumes to me is MINERAL.

I actually think this is the perfect size - if the dimensions are correct. We know Coach is bad for putting up incorrect dimensions.

It is the perfect size, and the leather is slouchy but still maintains some shape. I really like it. Okay, well, knowing that you never wear a bag crossbody, I really believe you would like the Rogue. Several people have it in mineral on TPF, have you seen some reveals?

Anne! What happened...you were so sure you liked the chalk? I'm curious....price is definitely a factor, no doubt.
I'm not sure. Probably the price, but I also think I want a bag that's all chalk without the black trim. I'll have to sleep on it. I may have gotten too excited after I saw the one in oxblood. I may wake up tomorrow and change my mind again. However, another concern is the care for that color. I've never had a chalk bag, but I've always wanted one. Do you have any experience with that color? People have mentioned to watch out for color transfer. I really like being carefree with my purses. I don't toss them around in the car or anything, but I don't want to worry that I'm going to ruin a great bag. I also think I do still have some reservation about having two of the same bags at that price. If I'd gotten one on sale, I wouldn't mind as much. I don't appreciated the chalk as much because I already have the Oxblood. When I just had the oxblood, it was instant love. That being said I'm going to wait until Friday, after I've had a chance to look at the Outlaw that retails for $695 in saddle. If I like that one, I will definitely send the chalk Rogue back, but if I don't I may still keep the Rogue in chalk. The Outlaw is the only other purse I'm considering even though I'll give up the chalk color that I really want.

Well, its possible that I'll be in the same boat. We'll see. Mine doesn't come till Friday. Like you, I've always wanted a light bag but have experienced color transfer in the past with lighter bags (never had a white bag). When ordering, I did express concern about that but figured that the option to carry higher with the shorter handles or on my shoulder with the longer handles, would allow it to sit on me in a place that would lessen that chance. I'm careful with my bags but I don't baby them. Personally, the black trim & saddle color interior are my favorite parts of the bag. Again, like you, sometimes you don't know till you have it in front of you and are able to carry it around, etc. Will let you know!
