I’ve been on the hunt for a pair classic dark denim what feels like forever! As @TC1 mentioned, you can’t get more classic than Levis 501 but I could never find original 100% cotton versions in stores near me and or my size/wash combo online. Also had been considering selvedge raw denim.

Finally took the plunge and found a pair of made-in-Canada (where I am) 11 oz Japanese indigo selvedge from brand Naked and Famous. Perfection…can’t wait for them to break in for a custom fit and get all that crease whiskering.

Congrats-I’m I’m in the U.K. but have bought several pairs online from Tate and Yoko, I really like them…
My doctor was always really interested in the jeans I was wearing -cashmere stretch etc, I’ve had about half a dozen pairs..I hope you like them too❤️

Thank you! I was looking at pairs on Tate and Yoko too! Fortunately I was able to find a vendor right in my hometown - Greyhearts Denim in Kelowna, British Columbia - they had my size in stock. Looking forward to to trying their other fits and fabrics when I have time to visit the store again!

My favorite, now defunct brand, is Habitual. I buy vintage Habitual and still have some of my originals
Great minds. I have two pairs of habitual. Cherished and worn with care. Not much, if any, stretch .
From perhaps rhe 1990s. :) The fact that I could not fit into them for years, no doubt preserved them lol

@foxgal, your jeans look amazing! :)

These are Naked and Famous’ Arrow style. I wanted something fitted through the thigh and straight from the knee down….I have enough of the current trend of loose jeans.

The bag is my new Coach Dakota bucket in color…obviously…”denim” lol. There is a thread in the Coach forum with more pics: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/anyone-have-the-new-dakota-bucket-bag.1059721/

Some classic, clean cut brands you might want to try:

AG Prima for a classic pencil cut mid rise jean with clean styling and ultra soft denim.
AG Mari cut for a higher waisted straight leg option
Rag and bone Cate style for a skinny jean with a mid rise and lots of stretch for comfort... skinny without being too skinny that they look too much like jeggings. (please note they run a bit large so you may want to size down)

Good luck on the quest for the perfect jeans! Happy shopping! :)

my DH commented last night that my 724s are the best jeans he's seen on me. and most of my other jeans are premium brands

I tried them and am thrilled !
Levi's was no longer on my radar at all because they never fit me...
Now I had to order two more colors :graucho:
Thank you for the recommendation !

I was thinking for getting another pair in a different wash but they have so many washes it's hard to pick one out online. I'm not even sure the wash color that printed on my receipt is correct. anyway, glad they work for you :)

I like 'Not So Fast' , 'Dark Indigo Rinse' , 'Black Worn In' and 'Cool I Am In Paradise' .
The first three are still on the way. Let's see how they look IRL
'Cool I Am In Paradise' works well for me .
I wanted a classic, understated blue wash and it is light weight, which makes it even more comfortable
