Classic bag or classic watch?

This is my jumbo before I sold it. I consigned it at Anns within a few months of buying. So you can see. I truly felt like I was carrying my moms bag! No offense to anyone meant at all. Some people look amazing with this bag, I just wasn't one of them.

You did the right thing letting the bag go. You have fabulous style, and this bag wasn't doing anything for you, regardless of how beautiful. I often see this bag on women where I shop and it totally overwhelms them and that's not a stylish or flattering look. An accessory should enhance, not detract from one's overall style.

I'd probably choose the bag since you currently have the smaller version of the watch, but I'm not sure the Jumbo is what I'd choose. I had a difficult time with Chanel cf sizes. I was wanting the Reissue and found the 225 too small and the 226 looked way too big on me. Jumbo looked ridiculously oversized. I ended up with a Medium Lady Dior and I'm ecstatic with that beautidul classic. I think classic, iconic bags are always worth their price tag, but it must be the right one.

The Lady Dior is an amazing bag. I have that one on wish list. :graucho:

Thanks! Hugs! And I truly believe your bag should be in proportion to body and shape.

I am wondering if I'm going to have the same reaction to the 226. I basically assumed I should go bigger because that's what everyone seems to buy on YouTube. I really need to evaluate what size would work on me. I definitely don't want the bag to "wear me" lol. The lady Dior sounds gorgeous!

I called Cartier and the customer service person said they it wasn't discontinued. I also contact the Cartier store in Texas by phone and they said that it wasn't discontinued. Then I went by that store in person and my SA said that it hadn't been discontinued either. That's all the information I have at this time.

Whew that's a good sign! Thank you for finding out!

Keep the watch, it is an investment piece and keep on saving for your Jumbo. I have the small Cartier Mademoiselle, which I've owned for about 10 years, and would love to upgrade, but since I already have it it is not on my priority list for the moment.

Thanks for the info! However, some models are gone from their website, for example my 36mm BB two tone with diamond markers, only smaller model left.
This actually turns me off from Cartier, you think you are buying something classic and timeless, but instead, in a very few years this item gets discontinued, means you bought just a seasonal fashion piece! Really sad.
