Well I finally found the perfect bbag for me. I've owned several but always had some minor issue that, while liking the bags very much, kept me from full on LOVING them. I loved the leather of the early bags but found the later years to have changed slightly, not to my liking. I also was never a big fan of the antiqued look of the hardware and the giant or silver didn't work for me either. I found this city bag in distressed brown calf with light gold hardware during Neiman Marcus' latest triple points event and LOVE it!!!! Has everything I love and nothing that I don't. The calf feels sturdier than the lamb without being too stiff and I think it will break in and age beautifully. The distressed leather, for those of you who haven't seen it in person, refers more to how the leather is dyed (darker around the edges), rather than a pre-owned look that you might expect in, say, distressed denim. I tried to capture the beauty of the deep brown but had a hard time with my cell.
