Books & Music Christmas Songs...

Favourites:

- So This is Christmas
- Last Christmas
- Step Into Christmas
- umm..the hippo one. Not sure what it's called :P

(from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra)
- Wizards in Winter
- Christmas Canon

Of the older carols, I love It Came Upon a Midnight Clear and O Come All Ye Faithful. Of the sort of modern ones, I never get tired of Carol of the Bells (but it's pretty short!). I dislike Little Drummer Boy-if I never heard it again, it'd be fine with me.

I NEVER liked the song Dancing in the Street! The melody was great, but the chorus was so repetitive.

(I guess this is why I never liked The Little Drummer Boy and 12 Days of Christmas.

12 Days is the carol's equivelent to 99 Bottles of Beer!)

My other favorite modern carol is Bond's rendition of Jingle Bell Rock.

I actually like Dancing in the Street, but that verison is creepy. I never liked 12 Days of Christmas, unless it's a paraody verison (You gotta see Janice Dickinson's verison! 5 nekid man!!! :graucho: :wlae: :roflmfao: ) Never cared for The Little Drummer Boy either. The repetitiveness and drumming "sounds" got on my nerves. I've heard any drum go rum pa pa pum. :P Good choices.

My Xmas favorite song:

New lyrics for "Walkin in a Winter Wonderland"

Lacy things - the wife is missin',
Didn't ask - her permission,
I'm wearin' her clothes,
Her silk pantyhose,
Walkin' round in women's underwear.

In the store - there's a teddy,
Little straps - like spaghetti,
It holds me so tight,
Like handcuffs at night,
Walkin' round in women's underwear.

In the office there's a guy named Melvin,
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown.
He'll say, "Are you ready?" We'll say,"Whoa, Man!"
"Let's wait until our wives are out of town!"

Later on, if you wanna,
We can dress - like Madonna,
Put on some eyeshade,
And join the parade,
Walkin' round in women's underwear!

Lacy things ... Missin',
Didn't ask ... permission,
Wearin' her clothes,
Her silk pantyhose,
Walkin' round in women's underwear,
Walkin' round in women's underwear,
Walkin' round in women's underwear!

:yucky:

I love Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas songs - Wizards in Winter, Good King Joy, Christmas Cannon, Christmas Eve in Sarajevo, I could go on and on. I also love the Nutcracker Suite.

I hate the Twelve Days of Christmas and any version of any song sung by the Chipmunks. My DH wants me to throw in any song on the Alabama Country Christmas CD.

ProfNot - I've heard that one on the radio. I thought it was funny.

Away In A Manger
Silent Night
Happy Xmas (war is over)
Do they know it's Christmas?
Merry Christmas Everybody
I wish it could be Christmas Everyday

I love it when the kids sing 5 tubby snowmen too!
