I think that is normal for reinforcements. It looks good!

what I am worried is about the wavy area in mine near the zipper.

I can tell you another place to watch on the zippy wallets is the rounded edges at the top- it is very common for the stitching to be a little off and for stitches to actually be dropped. I have seen this on several occasions. For me, I have to buy wallets in store so I can inspect. It is such a personal issue with these kinds of imperfections- it does not bother some people and for others, it can be a deal-breaker.

Interesting I have two ZCPs but in different prints and I never once looked! I’m going to have to look at mine now. Is the wavy thing only on the Shanghai ZCPs tho?

There’s a rather obvious sinking into the canvas and the leather tab seems a tad sloppy. My other two pochettes are perfect. Would you keep this?

Is the stitching part of yours look like mine? The stitching isn’t straight and thick on the purple background.

It’s a seam and it’s hand made! Goodness gracious!

The trio! Just noting that the inside of the Venice was stitched inward more than the others that’s why there’s a bit of warping. The clasp can easily move and pass through the seams of the other two but for the Venice it’s locked in. Just an observation.. the Venice is my least favorite so it’s probably going back. But they look cute together lol
