The Yelp reviews for Galletti's are so inconsistent. They used to be the go-to place when I lived in the City 10 years ago. Any thoughts about Galletti's vs. Jack's? :hrmm:

I've never been to Jacks but the people at Saks recommended them to me and I've taken at least 20 pairs of shoes, mostly loubs and they have done a great job so far. Hope it works out. Maybe I will try Jacks too so I can compare.

Hi I've just joined PurseForum to thank you for the info on this page regarding the best cobblers. I travel around a fair bit (although mostly Europe) and this will be invaluable to me.

If I can help anyone in return regarding recommended repair outlets in Europe please ask. I did see a mention of London and I take all my "good" shoes to the official Louboutin repair outlet in Eversholt Street, London NW1. It's a fairly humble looking shop but he has been there, and his father before him, for many years. He is also recommended by Prada I believe. There is an article in The Telegraph about him and it will tell you more than I know offhand. The best thing he does is take in the legs of knee length leather boots to fit perfectly. I have skinny legs and had given up on finding a pair to fit. The shop is called KG Shoes and there is info on their site about all the services they offer. Their website is www.Cobbler.co.uk.

There is a really good one in Brussels but I will post back with that as it's a funny name, I'll need to look it up.

Thanks for all the info on here anyway.

Hello to all!
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a cobbler in the northern San Diego county area? I have read through the thread and know of the Cinderella Shoe Repair in La Jolla, but that is a good hour or more from my house.
Any help is appreciated!
TIA! :-)

I can highly recommend Rago Brothers in NJ, I was extremely pleased when I had rubber placed on a pair there.

However, I just moved to Houston, TX. I've seen Shoe Savers and Shoe Hospital mentioned, does anyone know who is better?? Thank you!

I know this is late but Shoe Savers hands down. I had Shoe Hospital reinforce some handles on my Rebecca Minkoff MAB, worst job ever! I would never recommend them to anyone based on that work alone.

The owner does decent work from a technical perspective, but his (and his staff's) customer service skills are deplorable!

I took 3 pairs of CLs, 2 pairs of Choos, and 1 pair of boots in for a variety of needs (e.g. soles, heel tips, a poron insert, and cleaning/polishing). When I picked up my shoes, I went over them very carefully (as anyone would). I noticed there was a nick in the patent heel cup of my CLs, the insole he replaced for me over the poron he added was crooked and wrinkly, and he hadn't wiped off his fingerprints (which was fine on the patent but left black smudges on my white python). When I pointed these things out, the owner and one of his female clerks yelled at me (in front of other customers). They told me the nick in the heel cup and black smudges on the python were my fault because I brought them worn shoes (I can assure they were not in that condition when I dropped them off). I asked him to straighten out the insole and wipe off the python.

Though they did a good enough job, I just wanted to relay my experience with Shoe Savers.

I've heard that they're customer service is atrocious though I haven't had that experience. I did just drop off of 3 pairs of shoes last weekend, so we'll see how this batch turns out. He's always kept it short with me though.

I just want to post about a very positive experience with Master Cobbler in Palo Alto. My patent Hyper Prives got some kind of weird stain on them and they got it out!! Also they put nice red sole savers on. Great job!

Hi everyone!
My Louboutins are really worn out after about a year wearing them.
Does anyone know of any good reliable places in new York city to get the red bottoms fix?

anyone know where i can get the tiny little heel tips for the yo yo spina? i have 2 pairs and my cobbler does not have the right ones they are much smaller than any i have seen he can put the smallest ones on and trim them down, but i would rather have the right ones... thanks!

A friend of mine recently went to Dino's and her shoes looked terrible when she got them back. She asked that they redo the sole, and again they looked terrible - brownish glue oozing out all around, the rubber went very high into the arch. They ended up buying her a new pair (as she hadn't worn them yet). I've been going to The Cobbler at Preston and Royal, and they've done a fantastic job every time!! The prices are also lower than Dino's, and they use Vibram brand soles, where Dino's uses an off brand.

I was less than impressed with Deno's as well. So much so, in fact, that I'm here looking for another local cobbler. Is the cobbler you're using called The Cobbler Shoe Repair, by chance?

Okay Santana Creative just called me and I answered while I was busy I know my fault but I sent two pairs of flats and they are quoting me
$295. Is that right? Seemed like a lot to me

I have searched the thread and asked before, does anyone know a good place in Oklahoma or Arkansas to take my shoes? If not a place to ship them too fairly cheap?

I have a cobbler I take all my boots too but I'm not sure about taking CLs to her! She mainly deals with cowboy boots and saddles! Lol
