Oof. That does hurt. Just think, you are over the hump about worrying about scratches! Wear it and I promise you will get used to it. I wouldn’t have Cartier buff it out or you will lose the square edge. Maybe your husband can be on kitchen duty for a bit??!

As they say, "the first cut is the deepest." It's true when it comes to your first dings and scratches. I've had my Love on for 10 years without ever taking it off. It's been through a lot, including crutches and regular work outs. You do get used to it. As Swanky suggested, put it back on with the dent facing out. Try to let it go. If you really need to, I'm sure you could get it polished, but it will still get its own "personality" in time. Hang in there.

If this were my bracelet, I'd just wear it and enjoy it for what it is -- a token of your husband's love. IMHO, making a big issue of it undercuts this "love" gesture and puts the focus on the damage instead of the gift. However, here's a thought. If your husband bought it with an American Express Platinum or Centurion (aka Black card) in May 2023, you might have a buyer protection plan for your Love bracelet for this accidental damage. Only you know what would be best for you.

These bangles are never going to remain pristine- that’s part of the reason for having one, it’s on all the time and it will get dinged. If you polish this one out, there will be another one along soon! It is part of the character, we are all dented by life, occasionally, and so will the bangle.

I advise strongly against polishing it this soon (the bangle is still new) because it will take off the layers of the gold that you paid for and people ofter report that it does not look the same after Cartier polishes it (the edges will look smoother due to the dents). And there is no guarantee it will not happen again and then what? Have it polished again until it looks thin like a Small Love?

Wear it as a token of your husband's love and as a reminder that every Love goes through rough patches/dents. Lol.

I'm not seeing people suggesting she get it polished, quite the opposite!
You are right! I just saw the words polishing often but then people added an advice against it after they mentioned it but my sloppy reading took over. I get triggered (lol) when people polish their new bracelets/necklaces, losing gold they paid for... no need for it.

The first scratch is always hardest. I have at least 2 of these deep scratches. My bracelets now have tons of character! It’s impossible to not get them scratched unless you baby it which is no fun. Take it to get it polished and it should fade. I got mine polished in Paris and it went back to new looking! the sa in Paris said get it every 5 years because it thins out? Not sure but shortly after getting it polished I bumped it and scratched it again lol. Oh well. I still love it deep scratches and all. I still smile when I love at my wrists!

I had a dent exactly like this from moving a concrete statue in my garden last summer. Can barely see it at all now, seems to have smoothed out with wear . E

njoy your love as @Swanky said. They are meant to be worn and become a part of you that you never take off. The scratches, dings, wear & tear are a part of the beauty of the LOVE.
