My gold love bracelet is less than a month old (well my husband bought it in may but i only put it on 3 weeks ago) and today i dropped a bowl and in an attempt to catch it i banged my bracelet against the counter and chipped the edge terribly and scratched it pretty badly. I am not sure what to do except cry lol. I became so distraught and emotional i immediately took it off. Any advice?

Oh no! Sorry to hear this, I know how you feel ugh. I don't think there is much you can do besides take it in to them for a polishing which will remove some gold or just leave it be for now.

The scratch doesnt bother me but the chipped/dented edges are really gutting. I keep going over the scene in my head over and over. Will they smooth out a bit over time

I know this is not what you would like to hear, but stop beating yourself up about this
(easier said than done) it was unforeseen & more likely than not Cartier will tell you what
your options are for repair.
And again, sorry this happened

Im trying! I know its silly in the grand scheme of things but its so hard not to be upset with myself. Its only been a few weeks can you imagine what ill do in a few years . Im trying to take solace in the fact that its not as noticeable and egregious seeing the bracelet from the top, but when you look at the edge , it looks very damaged. Ill take it in and am desperate to fix it but i know i will be compromising something. Thank you all for your responses. Wish it was one of those things that was just in my head and that i was overblowing because its new but its not, its actually bad ugh

It will get dinged and dented more and it will be okay. In April I fractured my ankle. I needed crutches. I am so horrible with crutches and I was falling all over the place. Well, little did I know but I ended up absolutely gashing my two Loves. They are a mess, lol. I was so gutted about it for a couple of weeks but decided that I wasnʻt going to try and get them polished out. They are still there but Iʻm ok with it now. Im not planning on taking them off (Ive worn them for three years, play soccer, surf with them on) and I know theyʻre bound to get even more scratched.
