Congrats! Oh oh didn’t realize there were changeant moussies in stole. My first moussies were bought in 2015.
Is the weight or texture different between the changeants and the normal moussies?
Thank you Joannadyne, Cookiefiend and scarf1!
Scarf1- There were definitely some changeant stoles. Mostly 140's though. I have not come across any 90 changeants, and only 1 pocket square changeant so I'm guessing it is more labor intensive to set up and reserved for larger (more expensive) formats. Chiffon is a loose weave with threads that are tightly spun, and there's something about the silk threads in the weave that is different than the regular chiffon, but it is part of the thread itself.
This one is probably a litter lighter weight than the La Rosee in terms of fabric construction. It wrinkles more easily than La Rosee which just slips back to perfect shortly after I wear it. I think lanit said that started happening with the lighter weights several years ago.
So far, and @marietouchet if she sees this might know how to explain, from what I can see the type of chiffon varied from batch to batch. Some were stiffer, some softer. The older ones are definitely thicker. The Cavaliers d'Or I have is VERY hardy. It's like a mousseline tank. Whereas the Millefleurs du Mexique from 2016 (?) is noticeably thinner fabric, but not a fine as changeants.
