I love reading this thread but haven't had much to contribute , then suddenly I acquired three new mousselines within the space of a fortnight.
I want to share them and also to bring up the matter of 'hand' . These three feel completely different to one another.
I bought the Axis Mundi 140cm new from a well known reseller, having long admired the design .
Hitherto my only Mousse had been a beautiful one from Year of India 2008 , so in mousse terms that's an old one : substantial , very drapey and easy to fling on .
i wasn't prepared for how different the Axis Mundi from 2014 would be. It's a divine changeant , and though thinner is more poufy and airy .
I'm learning how to dress it down and underplay that pouf! It does feel like a lot of scarf .
Hot on it's heels came a Polo de Bagatelle in orchid pink .I said recently that the Axis Mundi was most beautiful scarf but i have to take it back because each of these mousselines could claim that title in their own way .
This one feels almost like a Summer silk , it's much thicker but soft and floaty .I find this a cinch to fling on , so easy.
it's a le Clerc design , but I don't know when it was issued . Do let me know if any of you have info about this.
Finally came a new size, 90cm Splendeur de Maharajas another design from the stellar Year of India.
How many times have I seen it listed and passed thinking it looked so boringly brown and insipid , then I looked at the photos of it folded and saw that insanely gorgeous tea-stained orange border and the fuchsia hem !
A beautiful TPF friend assured me it would be a purchase I'd love, and even brought hers to lunch so that I could see it IRL . That was so generous as I sometimes feel like I lift all her great ideas!
Bunnycat has a great 90cm collection and i can see why ,they are wonderful.

I'm going to go for photo overload here , please bear with! Here are the first lot…
I have resized these but still they are enormous, apologies !

I recall seeing your cw of Polo de Bagatelle in Harrods around 2012. Your newly acquired mouss collection is fabulous.

Love how you have styled them all, and am especially keen on the Maharajas against a navy background-- it really shows it off well.

The Clerc stole is from Spring/Summer 2012, fyi.

Thank you all for the sweet comments and for letting me share my small collection. I so enjoyed getting them out and deciding what to wear with them ,and it's given me new ideas as well . Moreover I'm feeling lucky to own them and be able to share them with you lovely people.

And thank you Calexandre and Orchard for the dating of the stole .

FF, you have outdone yourself! These are all gorgeous...twins on the Axis Mundi...it is gorgeous...a truly wonderful cw...it looks amazing on you!

Also cousins on the polo (I have it in a blue/gold changeant-I prefer yours!) and the the maharajahs.....that was the first 90cm silk I bought at FSH on my honeymoon in 2001....so...that print will always be special to me!

Thanks for taking the time to model, so much fun to see how others wear different designs! All wonderful on you!
