Sharing my NTM (gotta shorten New To Me as it gets tiresome to write a lot!) Les Capucines since I posted it over in SOTD. After seeing (and seriously falling for) Croisette's Ecume (also Jacquelot, I think) here in this thread, and knowing I was unlikely to ever find anything like it, I kind of "settled" for the viney mass of flowers of this instead. I was worried the yellow would be too "golden harvest" in person (and it is not easy to photograph this yellow) but it is more sunny mustard and so that worked out fine. And then I worried there wasn't enough pattern contrast, and actually, this turns out to be fine with me too once I tried it on. With the very very bright yellow...high contrast would have probably been a "Bad Idea". Moussies surprise me yet again....

I can't get over how much I love 90cm mousselines and your yellow Capucines is ravishing!
Yellow is tricky but get it right as here, and it's just fantastic.

Thank you so much frou frou!!! :flowers: Yellow is very tricky, I will agree. I got lucky on this one! (On others...not so much...but they have already moved on to better, happier pastures).

I love reading this thread but haven't had much to contribute , then suddenly I acquired three new mousselines within the space of a fortnight.
I want to share them and also to bring up the matter of 'hand' . These three feel completely different to one another.
I bought the Axis Mundi 140cm new from a well known reseller, having long admired the design .
Hitherto my only Mousse had been a beautiful one from Year of India 2008 , so in mousse terms that's an old one : substantial , very drapey and easy to fling on .
i wasn't prepared for how different the Axis Mundi from 2014 would be. It's a divine changeant , and though thinner is more poufy and airy .
I'm learning how to dress it down and underplay that pouf! It does feel like a lot of scarf .
Hot on it's heels came a Polo de Bagatelle in orchid pink .I said recently that the Axis Mundi was most beautiful scarf but i have to take it back because each of these mousselines could claim that title in their own way .
This one feels almost like a Summer silk , it's much thicker but soft and floaty .I find this a cinch to fling on , so easy.
it's a le Clerc design , but I don't know when it was issued . Do let me know if any of you have info about this.
Finally came a new size, 90cm Splendeur de Maharajas another design from the stellar Year of India.
How many times have I seen it listed and passed thinking it looked so boringly brown and insipid , then I looked at the photos of it folded and saw that insanely gorgeous tea-stained orange border and the fuchsia hem !
A beautiful TPF friend assured me it would be a purchase I'd love, and even brought hers to lunch so that I could see it IRL . That was so generous as I sometimes feel like I lift all her great ideas!
Bunnycat has a great 90cm collection and i can see why ,they are wonderful.

I'm going to go for photo overload here , please bear with! Here are the first lot…
I have resized these but still they are enormous, apologies !

Frou frou congratulations on those! They are all so stunning! Love the orchid pink of the le Clerc but every one is a winner! And who would not love to have a Splendeurs? Yum! 90's are just perfect!

Absolutely love that last picture - everything about it is gorgeous :heart::heart:

Thank you so much , I've arrived at Mousseline heaven at last ,though it was a learning curve and a few other beauties have passed through my hot little hands because I couldn't get the hang of them.
Now i'm thinking i need something in blue…….
