It's gorgeous!

Is the double side plain? And it is pale or darker than the other? I haven't seen many double moussies and am curious about them. How is the weight of a double compared to regular twill? Do you find it thicker or still thinner because of the mousse?

OK....sorry this took me so long, bunnycat!

No there is no plain side. I have pictures here. The two sides are different. One has a darker yellow border while the other does not. On the light yellow border, the roses are an orange color and so are leaves - while dewdrops are pale yellow. On the dark border side only dewdrops are orange-y

And here, I separated the two thin sides at the edge. Next project is to weigh some Scarves!

The here, I separated is supposed to go over top of the final photo. Sheesh.....

OK, now for the weigh in....

Double Moussie 70 cm is 7/8 ounce, aka 27 grams on my kitchen scale
My vintage silk 70 cm is 1 and 1/4 ounce aka 36 grams?

I THINK it's grams....it's the numbers I get when I switch the scale to kg.

Thank you both.....you are causing me to rethink my idea about letting this one go.

Not that I wouldn't love to see this pop up somewhere for sale :graucho:, but I think you should keep it! Really looks so pretty on you! Plus the older mousselines are a little bit heavier in weight, and therefore, it's been noted, less prone to wrinkling than current releases. ;)

This one is so pretty, too! :smile1: I have a 70cm double mousseline in Literature. I really like the double thickness in this size. Gives to so much more body!

Thank you, etoile de mer. I heard so many positive comments about this scarf photo that it caused me to take another look at the scarf with less critical eyes. Sale plans have been postponed, for now.

Could you be persuaded to post some modeling shots of YOUR double mousse?

Yay, so glad to hear you're keeping your Joyaux de l'Ete, bobcat! :smile1:

Regarding my double 70cm, it's one I have mixed feeling about. While I love the format and design, it's such a barely there pale blue with such very pale accent colors! I'll try to take and post some pics, soon.

Well, if you post some pics so all your scarfie pals can see, you may get the kind of feedback that I did. Which might cause you to reach for that poor neglected scarf more often!
