This is gorgeous! Is this a new acquisition? :graucho:

Love the mousse but also love the neckline of your dress. Looks super with a shawl.

In addition to the white/green one that Persimmon13 linked, there was a mauvey-pink and a bright blue. Here's a pic of the latter. I admit to feeling nuts for owning this particular cw-- I own the corresponding silk twill colorway too, and they are very similar in function for me-- but until the pink or green versions present themselves to me, I'm happy to have as much ACdlV as possible in as many formats as possible. It's my very favorite Hermes pattern. :smile1:

This is a beautiful CW. And yet another design I didn't know that was made in a mousseline. This thread is dangerous!

Thanks for sharing!

CanuckBag Lover Thank you so much , I love the pattern too and have always wanted it in a mousseline after seeing Mai Tai wearing hers . I'd love it in her burnt orange , but was glad to find this as it's so different to anything I normally buy :smile1:

Yes, there was a mousseline PM Au Coeur de La Vie, I believe in several cw, but it was some time ago (circa 2009..?) I tried to copy and paste a link to the one featured on Piwigo scarf catalogue, hope it works:

It did work, thank you!

Both of these moussies are beautiful! I really like the pattern in the 90 silk, but I think I will have to add the mousselines to my omg-keep-my-eyes-peeled-in-case-I-ever-see-one-to-purchase list! The little monkeys that are front and center in your pic, calexandra, are so cute! Thank you calexandre and Persimmon for sharing!

This blue colour way is so amazingly beautiful . This colour will be spectacular on you in both formats .
My FI mousseline is new , and an unexpected find as the strong contrasts and large colour palette are not my normal choice.
I had [ and still have packed away] an exquisite evening frock from my days of grand socialising in just this fuchsia and pink , so the mousseline is a lovely reference for me.

These colors are incredible! Would love to see more pics... :graucho:

klynneann Thank you , it's very different to the current mousselines in the intensity of colour and also the hand of the silk .Much more substantial feeling.
I wore it to go to the Hermès in Selfridges and the SA was looking at the difference .

For example the two mousselines I tried , Point d'Orgue in blue [ fabulous] and a lovely Jardin Anglais in orangey - peach were like thistledown and much more restrained colour wise

I shall jump at the chance to take some photos , I love playing with my scarves and chatting on tpf , and it's so much more fun than all the things I should probably be doing :smile1:

Some more photos of Fantaisies Indienne.
So much detail !

The Year of India 2008 was fantastic!
I just tried to start a new Ode thread , ''Ode to Year of India scarves and shawls'' , but I'm not allowed , not sure why ! :graucho:

I've only worn it with black or white so far , I admit to finding such a colourful shawl tricky to pair with much else except grey and maybe beige…..

WOW, this is a gorgeous color against your fair skin. As you can tell, I am one who goes for the color versus the design of a scarf/shawl.

p/s: I am usually lurking at SOTD but now that the weather is warming up, I am on the hunt for some mousseline beauties.

This was such a find! Blown away by the picture of it draped as a shawl. I do love the crisp patterns of the older issue mousselines.

I hope you succeed in starting that Ode thread-- such a good idea. Those of us who love that year will be thrilled!

Thank you again!
I managed to get Ode to India 2008 started , it's there after the sticky threads.

Do post soon and spread the word , then maybe it'll be promoted to Clubhouse :graucho:

That is very interesting. I thought the colors of older mousselines I've seen were more vibrant, but I also thought perhaps it was just the particular design. I would be very interested in getting my hands on an older moussie to see what the difference in fabric feels like.

Very much looking forward to more photos (glad I can help provide you with an excuse to procrastinate :graucho:).

Oh, thank you - these photos are wonderful! It really is amazing how much more vibrant it is. On some of the mousslines it so difficult to see what the print actually is; this one is easy!

Ohhh, calexandre...I just died and went straight to the ACdLV heaven....
I am a huge fan of this design and your modelling pic just made me crave more. I need the mousse Au Coeur de La Vie! Sadly, it never comes up during my searches...would be infinitely grateful for any tips where to unearth one.
