One of my favorite scarves and you have posted a photo in a relaxed yet exotic setting.
Well done!!! :smile1:

Thank you so much for your kind words! Passed your compliment also on to my DH who took the photo. :smile1:

Oh Sammy, your Chasse en Inde is truly a dream!

Dear Croisette! Yes, you are perfectly right, this mousse has a kind of dreamy quality... :cloud9:

I couldn't leave this little baby behind at the consignment store. I'm a sucker for anything sunflowery and whimsical. It needed a good home, right?!

Retour a la Terre gavroche. Does anyone have an idea how old it is?

JRTgal, I don't know the year, but it is a so lovely moussie, congrats on your find!
Thank you, Croisette! It was a lucky find..the store had 2 different CWs. Somehow managed to resist rescuing both even though the price was ridiculously low. Luckily, the store is in another state so no 2nd thoughts allowed! Wait! What was I thinking?

How cute! I have a small Brides de Gala in mousse gavroche, but do not wear it often enough, I am afraid. What would be the best way to tie it? TIA

Hi Persimmon13 -- I love the size and generally wear them folded into a triangle and tied at the back or front. It's charming as well tied into a rosette (lay it flat, tie opposite ends into tiny square knot and then pass the 2 free ends under the tiny knot, pull and voila! A rosette! then tie the free ends at the back of the neck.) You could also fold the gavroche into a bias fold and wrap it around. I love it tied on a bag and there's no reason not to wrap it around your wrist as some do with the twilly format. There's quite a bit to do with such a tiny piece of silk.

I think you may find all sorts of knot ideas throughout the Forum or at MaiTai's blog.

Hope this is helpful!

Dearest JRTgal, million thanks for your kind words and those brilliant ideas! It is finally warming up here and I cannot wait to play with my little mousse. I really want to try the rosette one, if I am successful, will post pictures on this thread. Now am off to practice knotting :smile1:

Jardin Anglais mousse dining in a French restaurant in the English country side. :D

Beautiful and elegant, ms piggy! I just saw this in another cw at the boutique yesterday and could not believe it was the same pattern as the 90. Didn't even recognize it! I LOVE how the animals stand out in this format. It's just beyond the beyond as a mousseline, IMHO. Fantastic.

Thank you for your kind words and I totally agree with you that this print is beyond dreamy as a mousse (didn't care for it in the carre, sorry!) One of my firm favourite now!
