Howdy Pierina,

(btw, thx for your welcome back!)

I would love to buy every fur collar that MaiTai designs...and am seriously tempted w/ her new Minky, esp. that taupe/argent, and dark/argent...and the other colors too.

What stuck me w/ such presence was the whole concept of how a tiny little accessory could transform a very basic outfit w/ such ease. Of course, we've seen how MaiTai personifies this w/ her every nuance, but for some reason, this entire outfit is just such a masterpiece...well, I must post just to see it again. (and I finally remember how to post pix again; took a while...this ole girl takes a little longer to remember things these days...me she's still chugging along!)

(btw, Pieriana...I'm replying to this via my notifications page, rather than the original thread...not sure where this will end up.)
Totally agree with you. The fur collar just ups the outfit a notch. Similar to our silk... Simple outfit, add H silk, and wow! :). Thanks for posting MT's pic, reminds me to go look at her site for a fur collar! :)

Ok, I just hit 'reply' so perhaps this will go directly to your notifications page?

I agree with you completely, sac-a-main, just that little bit of fur can transform a scarf. The shine and texture of both somehow add up to more than the two pieces on their own. I'm in Florida all winter so don't have one of her collars. Must fix that asap! Need to lay the silks out and decide what color.
I did buy one for my DD when they first came out. She lives in NYC and wore it out to dinner with my husband's very elegant mother - DD said that my MIL was very interested to know where it came from. :smile1:

Nice to chat with you. :D

Nope, here we are in the CHIFFON thread.... sorry all!

Howdy Pierina,

Thx Brit, I am so happy I finally took up the courage to post this.

Thx for the compliment, lanit! I was in the same predicament before getting this fuchsia PdV. U can see in the photo I already have a fuchsia les flot. The two have identical colors. But my philosophy is if sth works, why not get more? Besides, moussies are not diamonds, they do not last forever! :p

Gorgeous mousselines, D Lee. :woohoo: The two patterns are so different in style and scale, especially when they're unfolded, that of course you needed both!

Thx, Pierina,
I am so glad u supported my getting both fuchsia moussies. I actually felt a little uncomfortable because there REALLY is no difference in color between the two. But it's true that one is a busy pattern & the other is not. Thx again.

Dear sac-a-main,
I thank u very much for your comment. And for the rest of my life, I will remember the advice from both Monceau & you: if I need to ask sb because I am not sure if a particular item would make me happy, I'd better leave it.

The purchase of my first PdV was a novel experience for me. I love the PdV pattern & I lacked a red moussie. So I really thought this should be a combination made in heaven for me. But when I saw it IRL, I was disappointed that the pattern didn't show well at all! However, I loved the color very much & so I took it home finally. I knew sth was wrong when I discovered myself changing my mind about returning it a few times a day! And when I first laid eyes on the fuchsia cw about 10 days later, I had this burning desire to take it home immediately.. There was no hesitation. I returned the red moussie at the earliest opportunity! I have never doubted my decision afterwards this time, though I still look at the photos of my previous love & marvel at its beauty occasionally.

I have learnt a little more about myself from this experience. Now I am looking forward to H producing a red moussie with more contrast. Helpful tpfers have indicated these had been produced in the past. I hope to get one soon!

It is so wonderful to see sac-a-main joining the scarfies again! Welcome back! :happydance:

I may have to forego the new collection of mousselines unless something really strikes like lightening. In the meantime, here is my silk this weekend to share on theme week. Champs de Courses by Watrigant. More images on SOTD thread. Happy week to all.

Oh, lanit, Champs de Courses is one of my most favorite designs, I've hunted for this Moussie for so long, alas no luck but in orange, which I cannot wear myself but is pure magic on you!

Monceau, unfortunately, you are dangerous to me  Last time, you modeled the white Equateur ss that way and I had to have it, now the mousse Guepards. What am I to do? I have no mousse and zero experience with them. This is not a stole but a shawl, right? I already have Guepards in the 90 cm silk...

Maedi, sorry not monceau, but yes, guepards mousse is a shawl and not a stole. HTH. :). I'm with you, it was her mod pic of white equateur that made me "had to have it!" Lol. And yet monceau didn't even keep it. Lol ;).

I totally agree! I have sworn never to get another CSGM in our subtropical climate. I got the fuchsia fleurs as soon as I saw her mod shot. Now I am patiently waiting for the Guepards moussie even though I have the 90 silk already. And I am on ban island as well. There is no way our wallet could be save when beautiful monceau is around. Should we lock her up?

I think our money trees may appreciate the hiatus, though truth be told I'd miss her fabulous inspiration a little too much to loose her!
I am not an animal print person at all but I've also fallen for Guepards thanks to Monceau and Hopiko's amazing shots.
Subtropical climate - you'd be crazy not to get the Guepards Moussie :graucho:
