As requested, I have attached the two cws of PdV one on top of the other for comparison.

Pls look past my dreadful tying because somehow the moussie could not be folded properly. Maybe it was too dry then. But the color difference between the two has been faithfully captured since I was using the same Samsung cellphone to shoot both shots. Hope that helps. Good luck!

So so far from dreadful, D Lee, all I see is absolute beauty!

Thx Brit, I am so happy I finally took up the courage to post this.

DLee, the fuschia is stunning on you. So envious. I am still on the fence on yours or chestnuttys. Since I have two other pink mousses I am reluctant to take the plunge just yet. Your photo is making me swoon.
Thx for the compliment, lanit! I was in the same predicament before getting this fuchsia PdV. U can see in the photo I already have a fuchsia les flot. The two have identical colors. But my philosophy is if sth works, why not get more? Besides, moussies are not diamonds, they do not last forever! :p

I have the fuschia Flots, and that was the reason not to get the fuschia PdV. But I like your rationale. Thank you!

You simply must share your beauties, D Lee, they are lovely!
Thx Brit, it so happened that I was acceding to scarfmischief1's request, or else I may not have the courage to show such a badly arranged moussie.

Congratulations! The fuchsia les Flots IS lovely! I seem unable to resist anything in this color. OMG! Other than the PdV & les Flot, I still have the fleurs 140, Brazil MT & 90 CDC in fuchsia! :faint:

GO GIRL! You do not mess around. You know what you like and go for it. Fuschia is beautiful.............................the PdV is exquisite, I hope I can continue to exercise self restraint..............I have been into my New Year's resolution for 11 days and I am getting shakey.....................thanks for the enabling!

Oh thank you for the compliment! I just posted my wonderful new grey Peuple du Vent mousseiline in a thread I created tonight - for more pictures please go see!

Now, I just need to see the gris/chartreause/marine coloration of it ASAP! I need to order a few more of these before the price gauge.

Ooh, I must go see! I still trying to secure my first moussie, I don't think I'll find it before the price hike but I'm sure it'll be just the beginning of another H-addiction!

Bonnie, you do make me laugh! I share your affliction

Dearest D_Lee,

I am 'new' to this thread...well, actually, I'm a oldie from past years, now finally able to indulge in one of my fav hobbies again.

Have read through this entire delicious thread w/ all the i-candy and comments.

It's great fun to see your posts, esp. pix of your latest beloved moussies, so, keep it up...but, remember, as your collection develops, it's *quality* (not quantity) that counts. What I mean by quality, is the color/pattern/fabrication + how it complements YOU, and only you.

Some pieces are truly breathtaking (viz., Hopiko's and Monceau's Geupards GM moussie in gris/chartreuse/gris or navy), and combined w/ the right complexion and hair color, are dynamite...as in, 1 + 1 = 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.

IMO, that's your goal in selecting a mousseline. Ask yourself, "does it complement my complexion? does it ADD something special to my appearance/feeling?" If the answer is negative w/ either of these 2, regardless of how beautiful the piece is, don't bite!

And, just chiming in w/ the red vs fuschia dilemma...
The red PdV is perfect as done--subtle accents, subtle quiet pattern accents. Too much contrast would scream 'busy' and well, I think would cheapen the entire motif/fabrication.
The fuschia PdV has that lovely orchid-purple undertone that is just so pretty. Period. This CW can 'handle' a little more contrasting detail than the primary red.
So, IMO, they are 2 very different animals.

as for which is suited for you? Well, you seemed unsure of the red, from the beginning. That means something. Trust that, and you'll always chose wisely.

Enjoy your amazing moussie collection, and thanks again for sharing.

You are very welcome, sac-a-main! :D

Did you get a fur collar from Mai Tai's blog, or find one at home to wear with your scarves?

Howdy Pierina,

(btw, thx for your welcome back!)

I would love to buy every fur collar that MaiTai designs...and am seriously tempted w/ her new Minky, esp. that taupe/argent, and dark/argent...and the other colors too.

What stuck me w/ such presence was the whole concept of how a tiny little accessory could transform a very basic outfit w/ such ease. Of course, we've seen how MaiTai personifies this w/ her every nuance, but for some reason, this entire outfit is just such a masterpiece...well, I must post just to see it again. (and I finally remember how to post pix again; took a while...this ole girl takes a little longer to remember things these days...me she's still chugging along!)

(btw, Pieriana...I'm replying to this via my notifications page, rather than the original thread...not sure where this will end up.)
