Chevron or Diamond Quilting?

I‘m looking into getting a Chanel Boy in the old medium size, colour I know for sure I want black caviar leather with shiny silver or ruthenium hardware, I‘m not too bothered as long as it‘s not gold hardware.

My only question now is if I should get the chevron or classic diamond quilting? Any pro‘s and con‘s to either of them? I personally like the diamond for being classic Chanel, but I feel like the chevron is a bit more modern.

In case this changes your opinion - I have 2 Chanel bags right now, a black Single Flap Jumbo with silver HW and a Mini Rectangular in black with LG HW, both in diamond quilting. Maybe more variety with the chevron boy? Or stick to classics for my entire collection? I‘d love your thoughts.

I prefer the look of the chevron in the boy bag - it looks edgier and more masculine. I think it will also be nice to have some variety in your collection. Enjoy either way - it’s a very nice dilemma to have!

I like chevron with SHW ( more modern) and quilts with GHW ( more classic) . Both in black of course.

For a boy I would say diamond quilt, for other bags like the trendy chevron all the way!

Chevron - to think of it, at the moment, I have way more chevron in my Chanel collection rather than quilted

I don't have a Chanel yet but if/when I pull the trigger I'd aim for a chevron boy, but everyone has different tastes. When I saw the chevron in person I immediately fell in love with it, but I tend towards leather jackets and jeans/casual wear and like modern shapes.
