Food Chef knife recommendations

I am in desperate need of a great chef knife. I love cooking and am using some terrible knife my husband had before we ever met. I've been eyeing the 8" model of henckels, shun and global. Anyone have a good recommendation?

I have a Wusthof but Global is also great. I use my large santoku more than my chef's knife (it's also a Wusthof).

My husband is a chef & got us a few shun knives from William Sonoma. They're great knives & have beautiful handles. It's all he uses.

Wusthof Ikon line is great. I have a mix of blade types, with some having the hollow edge. I want to try the great Japanese knives at some point, but you have to know how you like to grip and slice and chop (motion wise), because the knives relate to that. Feel in the hand is super important, naturally.
