Check Payments

Hello All,

This is my first thread on TPF! I am dipping my toe into the world of luxury fashion and I was planning my first purchase at an LV store.

I was wondering if a payment with a personal check is accepted at an LV store. I only ask because I don’t plan on using credit cards but I am still happy to pay with cash if a personal check is not an option.

I wonder if that changed now because of coronavirus; idk about LV but I saw some stores are not accepting cash these days.

If you're gonna pay with thousands of $$$ in cash, I'd use debit.
But then again, if you're in the US, I never understood why debit seems to be different. Here, you use a debit card the cash comes straight out of your bank account. Much more secure than cash (and better than cheque... which nobody really uses anymore here in Canada... )

Id just call the store and ask if they still take cash during this time. I know Chanel still does but Hermes will not here in Canada
