Cheapest country to buy LV

So all the online prices at the Louis Vuitton website include taxes that means the prices for France and Italy should be different right?

Both France and Italy are members of the EU so all prices are in Euros. I believe the prices are the same. A Neverfull MM costs 845 Euros in either country. You can look up prices on the website for any country, just change the country location. (It's at the bottom tool bar.) It's pretty easy even if you don't speak the language as the format is the same as the US website.
ETA: The VAT refund is likely slightly different for each country so depending on what % is refunded by Italy and France, one or the other might be slightly less expensive after the refund. Honestly, at this point, you're talking maybe 1% or 2%.

Personally, I would probably buy in the last country I was visiting so that you don't have to haul it around country to country and then leave it in your hotel room while you are sight seeing or visiting family or friends. It's a risk, to leave those items in the hotel considering that there will be staff going in and out of your room every day.

I actually purchased my first Cobalt Multiple wallet and it was just US$50 cheaper on the average (on the SLGs at least) than in my home country. I don't know with the bags, since I didn't ask.

I made some bag purchases recently in Tokyo, Japan, a Keepall Bandouliere 45 and a Neverfull MM and it was cheaper by US$ 440-330.

I am going to HK in the beginning of next year, I hope they won't globalize the prices until then! I live in Sweden and LV here is still quite cheap compared to US and Euro-countries but not by several $100's, maybe $50-100 I would guess

I'm going to Japan at the end of February and I would like to get a bag for my mom... was hoping that maybe the USD/yen exchange rate will be good and I'll get a better price! From looking online, it seems like the prices may be the same but at least I won't have to pay sales tax in Japan!

I think in asia it all depends on whether the currency of that particular country is weak or not. Hongkong is similar to US prices without tax. Japan is relatively cheaper because there was a time that it was weak against the dollar.

With the current rates, anyone from US hopping the border to Canada?
Prices are often about 20% cheaper with the exchange, maybe 15% when you take tax into effect (over the NYS tax rate). Does anyone know if Canadian tax is refunded upon departure, like VAT? What about Mexico and other nearby countries? I feel like duty-free shopping and cheaper LV can fund my entire vacation.
Anyone have any experience in Canada? Is there a LV flagship? Does anyone have a SA in a major Canadian city they would recommend (feel free to PM).

The LV site doesn't list prices in Thailand but I know Thailand tends to have higher prices for big brands. I live in Asia and visit BKK occasionally but I don't shop for designers when there (my friends do).

Exchange rate determines where to get the best deal. The dollar has gained back a lot of ground on the Thai Bhat (up to 35 from a dismal 28). What flight(s) are you taking? If you are connecting through Europe probably best to get it there if there's a boutique in your airport.

Only solution is to take style numbers and prices with you and compare when you arrive. Consider if you bought in the states you'll have to pay tax where as in Thailand you'd get a tax refund.
