Last month I would have said South Africa. Foreigners can even get back 14%VAT and the prices were linked to the old exchange rate. With the stronger dollar, they've increased the price 3 times in Feb, to adjust for global prices - 10% then 8% then another 10%. 😱

There are quite a number of credit cards (e.g. capital one) offer zero foreign transaction fee and earns rewards at the same time. You could google it online.

I'm in Germany and they have the same prices like France. If you can get the VAT back it makes it all the worthwhile I also go between the Europe & the USA LV website and the price differences are different. It is nice to to compare the prices especially if you have a trip planned ahead.

I need some help please.

I purchased an item in france and they gave me a blue form with the details for the vat refund. Do I also need to include the original receipt from Louis Vuitton? If so, does that mean I won't have proof of purchase if I ever need it for whatever reason.

They should've given you a receipt to include for VAT and one for you to keep.

the blue receipt is a tax refund form from Global blue I think, it needs to be submit at custom check for tax refund, you can request 2 receipts from merchants, 1for submit together with the blue form, another 1 for your safe keeping. normally the merchant wouldn't give 2 receipts, you need to request. but if already submitted the only 1, then you may try to show the blue receipt with your warranty card as proof of purchase.

I'm just wondering that if lv boutique in Paris/London will accept an order through phone call? Will they ship oversea (singapore)? If so what about GST refund?

Anyone has any SA from Paris or London stores.
