Not sure if this is the right place to ask a question like this - but I ordered a bag which was on sale (not clearance) through the Michael Kors website. A couple hours later I looked at their return policy and to my horror realized that anything on sale = final sale. I double checked the item on the website, and my invoice and nowhere did it state that the item is not returnable.
I haven't received it yet and hopefully it will work out for me, but I am so upset. I am a savvy consumer and it just seems nuts that they are able to get away with something like this. I called them but they said they can't do anything even though thr order hadn't even shipped yet.
I checked state laws and there does appear to be a law requiring the merchant to clearly disclose the return policy prior to purchase. They even state that putting it on a receipt is not sufficient to meet that requirement.
My next stop is going to be my credit card, I used Discover. I am going to present them with what I described above and hope they can help. Anyone deal with anything like this? I can't imagine ever buying another Michael Kors bag after this experience....
