Boo on sellers selling bags they don't even have yet. And for this haircalf Lowell on FOS for $270, how much are they asking???

I don't have a problem with sellers making a profit on items. That's what capitalism is all about -- buy low, sell high.

However I do have a problem with the first seller, patr_kays, a brand newbie without any feedback selling items without pictures of the actual items. In the listing you show, the seller stole Coach's images.

In this listing, patr_kays uses pictures stolen from another ebay seller:

ETA: I do also see problems with selling items they don't have in their possession yet!

Can't believe the cr*p some sellers include in their listings to try to convince buyers that a bag is vintage. See this load of rubbish about cigarette packets!

I couldn't resist contacting the seller and pointing out it was made in China in 2006 with a link to the guide about creeds. I got a polite reply " thanks for sharing" but no changes to the listing.

Sheesh!

Well at least it's authentic.

Do you think this is an auto correct error or does the seller really think its called a 'Willies'.

I'm betting yes because of the rest of the listing.

The heading states it's 1988 with 'original receipt' but the receipt is for a black Beekman and is dated 1998!

There seems to have been some effort to show the creed without the serial number.

And look at the price!

It's some kind of small briefcase style but since the nitwit who's selling it can't be bothered to show either the serial number or the measurements, there's no way to know what it is or to prove it.

Jeez, the guy has the information right in front of him on the receipt. Anyone who bids thinking they're getting a Willis is going to be PO'd.

The receipt is dated 1998, not 1988, and it's actually for that bag, which is a Beekman Computer Bag, style 5299, similar to the 5266 Beekman Brief and probably from around 1997-98. I don't have anything else in my files on it, not even measurements, or at least I didn't until I saw that listing. Since laptop computers from the late 90s were pretty large, it would have to be big enough to handle something with a 15 or 16-inch screen at least, and at least an inch thick or more. So it must be around 16x14 inches but that's just a guess.

But it AIN'T no Willis, Willis!
