Today on Dr Oz was an ex-GF of Charlie's who is a NURSE and still had unprotected sex!

She said Charlie told her of his HIV status and knowing it she still had unprotected sex with him for the 8 mos they dated. She was being treated by his doctor during that time, taking some meds that would reduce the risk of transmission.

What in the actual f***?! I can't see what appeal this could possibly have for a person that's not getting paid for it (even then I don't get it, but maybe a prostitute might think they will get it anyway so why not make the extra $$), but for a seemingly regular woman with a straight job, how in the world would sex without a condom with an hiv+ 50 year old Charlie sheen be appealing even in the slightest?! Fckin idiots!!! Although after googling her it does seem like she is a special kind of nurse... just gross

Because now she gets to go on tv and talk about it. She'll get to tell her story to every media outlet that will listen. That thirst is all the motivation she needs.

if she is a nurse she and that quacko dr who are promoting that cock-a-me-me need to have their medical licensing revoked...its morally, ethically and medically wrong to say its ok to sleep with someone who is HIV positive as long as they are on medication ... seriously HIV people all over the world (that have the hidden agenda of passing it along to otter's because they have it) will use that line...Charlie Sheen didn't pass it one didn't use condoms and was on medicine , there are gullible people out there who will fall for that-- Im going out on a limb to say after this here- new HIV cases will increase !!!!! the HIV association need to make a statement rebuking this mess if its not 100% accurate.. I am at a loss for words about this here nurse--

Is Bree definitely out of the woods? I thought the virus could lay dormant for several years?

She's definitely out of the woods. The tests are very accurate now. It depends on the type of test you get, but the good tests can detect the antigens within a week. The average test within a month or two. They usually say if the test is negative after three months you can consider yourself in the clear. The dormant for years phase is after the initial infection before it progresses to AIDS. If you could test negative for years that would effectively render HIV tests pretty useless.

I worked at a blood bank and there is much debate in the blood industry about allowing blood donations from people deemed to engage in "high risk behaviors" (men who have sex with men for example). Many people feel the ban on blood donation from gay men is a prejudiced/antiquated policy and a lot of the people in the industry seemed to feel it was a moot point because every donation is tested and the tests are so accurate now, unless you've been exposed within a week of your donation they're confident there is no risk. In some other countries the policies are far less stringent.

Jenny McCarthy blasts Charlie Sheen for not being ‘upfront’ about HIV

Jenny McCarthy is not throwing her support behind Charlie Sheen in light of his revelation this week that he was diagnosed as HIV-positive four years ago.

McCarthy, who had a guest stint as Sheen’s love interest on his show “Two and a Half Men,” said Wednesday that Sheen should have disclosed his diagnosis at the time because he had physical contact with actresses on-set.

“Now being on ‘Two and a Half Men’ myself, I feel like in playing a love interest, you would think there would be some type of, I don’t want to say criminal issue, but I don’t even know how to feel about that,” she said on her SiriusXM radio show.

McCarthy appeared on the show a handful of times between 2007 and 2011. Sheen was axed in 2011.

Comparing Sheen’s diagnosis to her own signing on-set releases about having cold sores, she continued: “I was like, ‘Wait a second, if I have to be upfront about a herpe, how could you not be upfront about HIV?’ I look back and I’m like, ‘OK, that would have been some valuable information.’ I mean look how many people have played his love interest on the show.”

She quickly added that she is aware that HIV cannot be contracted though kissing, but that it’s still “a big deal.” McCarthy, who’s married to Donnie Wahlberg, also announced that before her current husband she insisted male suitors take a test before sex.

“I made everyone get an HIV test,” the 43-year-old said. “I’m STD-phobic, just because of all the stuff I went through with Evan’s [her son’s] health. I said to myself, ‘There is nothing I want to do that would be dumb enough to get any type of disease. I have to live forever for my kid.’ So I wouldn’t sleep with anyone until I got the right paperwork, so even playing his love interest on the show back in the day, I go like, ‘Ick, ugh, that’s not fair and scary.'”

She added, “I have sympathy for him because he’s sick and it’s awful, but man he’s going to have to take some major accountability with many people in his life.”

Sheen revealed on the “Today” show on Tuesday that he’s HIV-positive.

Charlie is a huge a $$hat but ANY full-grown woman climbing on a d*ck these days for a one time or casual hook up, needs her head read or to sue her health ed teacher for not giving her the drill on STD's ( and not just HIV) if she's not being careful.

These women getting on tv...yeah I feel bad for them but if you have even a two cent brain you should know how to protect your p*ss. Bejewel it, shave it, wax it ..whatever - just get some proper rubber between it and mindless dong like CS's.

Thanks for explaining this.
