I don't disagree with you at all and that wasn't my point in my post.
My stance is the same on ALL celebrities when it comes their personal business - it's not the publics business so you are preaching to the choir.
But he's definitely NOT brave.
Who said he was forced to tell anything. I was under the impression he requested the interview. I understood him to indicate it was freeing to put the info out there as he was paying for silence. When you become a public figure a lot of your business becomes public. Additionally if there are lawsuits to come he got to testify to the public without taking the stand. I think it was all voluntary on Sheen's part

I agree with your post although I'm not sure I believe his claim of being "blackmailed". It was convenient for his story but info is coming out that these payments were through the legal system. It sounds like some women hired attorneys and he chose to pay them off.
I wish Matt had questioned him more about that, he did ask if he had paid to settle lawsuits and Charlie said yes. i think it's disingenuous to try and gain sympathy by saying you were blackmailed out of 10M that could have gone to your kids when he spent a fortune on drugs and prostitutes that also could have gone to his kids
I think if anything this is going to hurt HIV/AIDS awareness and education. Because of Charlie Sheen's lifestyle and reputation it's only going to support the idea many people have that only "those" people contract the disease and therefore the rest of us are fine. It's going to bolster people's perception of invincibility.
If he wanted this kept secret why would he leave the pills where they could be seen. He simply wants control and to seem like he is a victim no he is a fool . He knew the risks he was taking with his lifestyle and chose to continue it and it caught up with him.

Natalie Kenly, one of Charlie Sheen's former "goddesses," tells TMZ she had sex with Charlie Sheen and he never told her about his HIV status.
Kenly famously lived with Charlie in 2011, along with another "goddess." Charlie says he'd been diagnosed around 4 years ago, which would be sometime in 2011. The other "goddess," Bree Olson, says she was there with Natalie when Charlie was having closed door meetings with his doctors.
Kenly says she's HIV negative, and she's not attacking him for his non-disclosure. She says he was not trying to hurt anyone on purpose and loved all the girls he was with.
She says she will not sue.

Sources close to Charlie tell us Bree was lying when she told Howard Stern she was living with Sheen around the time he was first diagnosed, and he'd kept her in the dark about it.
We're told Sheen is adamant ... he didn't KNOW he'd contracted the virus until AFTER he got back from his 20-city tour, which ended on May 3, 2011. Olson famously broke up with Charlie nearly two weeks prior to that date via text message.
Yes, it's a short time span -- but our sources say the important part is Charlie had absolutely zero knowledge he was HIV positive while with Bree.
