I've always wanted green eyes, but I don't think I would have this procedure. I have a weird phobia about things in my eyes. I won't even wear contacts because I don't want to touch my eyes, so letting someone slice my eye is never happening. I don't think this procedure is that weird or freaky when you consider what else is out there. People get tissue from cadavers implanted into their lips and a deadly toxin injected into their faces regularly.

I think this is great!

A friend of mine had her first baby recently, and one of his eyes didn't develop. The one eye that developed correctly is brown, the other looked like almost all white and without vision. Thanks to this procedure (and some other one to make both eyes the same size) the baby's eyes look normal. His implant is brown to match the other eye.

The thing is that they also have to "stretch" the eyeball so if they wait long it won't work, they have to stretch it little by little, he has to get this done every 6 months, for a few years. It breaks my heart to see him with his little patch on his eye, but other than that he is a healthy baby :)

Oh, I see... it's also medical, not just cosmetic... Thanks for the info! :smile1:

IMO this procedure is really stupid (sorry if that was too blunt). I think people are NEVER happy with what they have and it's quite sad. You only get two eyes, and if they screw it up and you end up going blind or looking all cock-eyed then you're gonna have some issues. I say go with colored contacts or use colored eyeliner to change things up, but IMO voluntarily letting someone near your eye with a knife/funky gadgets unless you really need it is too risky.
