I was thinking the SAME thing! Mine are brown. They're hazel-y brown & they change shade depending on my makeup or what I'm wearing. I like them-- I wouldn't want to change themFunny how no one wants dark brown eyes, no one wears brown contacts and no one on that site got surgery to change to brown.
I have brown eyes and wish they were a bit lighter, but I will not have surgery or even wear those coloured contacts.
Sick and twisted ?
I seriously don't get what everyone is so worked up about. It's just a cosmetic procedure, as medical knowledge advances it's only natural that new procedures will come out and become available that were not known before. Just like new technology is coming out that was unheard of 20 years ago.
What's different let's say trying to change your eye color compared to stuffing yourself with chemicals and diet pills instead of losing weight the natural way ? Or having a liposuction ? How is that any different ?
For anyone who is saying "you should be just happy with what you got" if you use any sort of cosmetic procedure - restylane, teeth whitening, collagen, any sort spa treatment to improve your appearance, then you are a GIANT HYPOCRITE because you should also be happy with mother nature has given you.
I'd get this procedure in a heart beat if I could afford it. There are at least two threads in the general forum section about people saying untactful things (asking if you are pregnant and stuff) - well, I'm sick of noisy rude people asking me if I was adopted because I don't look like the rest of my blonde blue eyed Russian family due to my eye color.
It is kind of like hair color, though. The vast majority of people on earth have dark hair and dark brown eyes. Although people do color their hair brunette, it is far more popular to color one's hair a "rarer" color like red or blonde. Likewise, people want a rarer eye color, and true green eyes are very rare, just as any light eyes are uncommon among certain nationalities.
I'm a big fan of working with what you've got and not striving to achieve something that isn't natural for you.
well i don't want to debate the medical merits of having such a procedure done, but even if I really wanted to change my eye colour, this doesn't seem like the right procedure to take.
Money aside, the results they show on the website just look really bad. The colour looks too solid, so it looks fake and lacking in depth. All of the 'befores' looked better than the 'afters' because at least the 'befores' had depth and intensity. Natural eyes have a myriad of different shades and hues of 'brown', 'blue', 'green', etc. The implants they showed on the website seem to just have a solid 'green' for example. Sort of blank and soul-less....
So while individual preference may favour blue over brown, the results they show on the website don't do any favours in enhancing your eyes.
