Chanel vintage bag has NO hologram?

I know this is an old post but I am kind of getting desperate. I posted in the authentication forum and no one seems to know anything about this. I have a bag on hold at a vintage clothing store (I took pictures but they turned out useless), it is a flap bag from the 1980s, it has no hologram sticker but looks good to me, having gone over the main authenticity tips about quilting and the Chanel and made in France sign, but I am going mad about this zipper pull. Unlike all the other posted in the tips section it has Blitz written across the zipper pull of the inside pocket. As you ladies all have experience of vintage bags from this era can someone please shed some light on this. I am not the only one with this query, as I came across another with the same zipper pull on a bag from around the same era.

The older chanel bags do not have holgrams .It was before they confited them .I found out on ebay .I have a 70s or 80s bag myself .I worried i am a antiques dealer .I was going to have mine looked at .Before I sell mine.my bulberry .Maybe if they dont care ill show to .april martin My purse reads chanel paris on my .handles .

I though they started putting on the holograms in 1985? my bag was made late70s, early 80s and does not have a hologram. Its small, black quilted and has a tassel. But unlike most of the small quilted bags its black inside, the chain is gold. It closes with a magnetic button.
Im sure its authentic. It belonged to the mother of a friend who was very wealthy and would never have bought a fake. I had the authenticity confirmed by several people who know Chanel bags very well.
Oh i just looked at the zipper. Its strange... i can see sort of a little sign on it. Its faded but it sorts of looks like a 3 or 4 leaved clover. Does anybody know what that is?

Hi girls,
I know Im a bit late on this thread..lol.. sorry, but I purchased a vinatge chanel mini lambskin, and it looks and feels 1000% authentic, from the leather, tot the stiching and down to the heavy hardware that is marked with Chanel. I purchased several authentic pieces from the same guy, almost al had the stickers and labels, dustbags and boxes, but this particular one has not "chanel" stamp on the inside! It looks and feels as real as it can be though. Did some vintage minis NOT have a "chanel" stamped on the inside? could this be possible?

I have a vintage green boxed chanel handbag that has no sign of anything on it except for the interlocking double c logo on the leather latch that comes over the top and magnetically snaps to the front.
This bag is very nicely weaved with leather all over the front.
The zipper pull says ykk on it. I have been wanting to know if this thing is quality or cheap and I am waving a white flag for help rioght now!!! PLEEASE!!!

Hi. Regarding the YKK zipper on your Chanel, from what I know, they never made YKK zippers for vintage Chanel. You can only find them in the following Chanel bags:

2005: Medium Red Caviar [seasonal]
2006: Large Coral Lambskin [seasonal]
2006-2007: Large Violet Lambskin [seasonal]
2006-2007: Large Bleu Fonce Lambskin [seasonal]

Also, vintage pieces only use zippers like

Three circle etch
D etching
DMC etching
Eclair etching
Lampo logo etching
OPTI DMC etching

Some of Chanel’s vintage handbags have a blank front slider. In this case, the back zipper slider will be etched with:

Chanel Paris
Lampo

Regarding the hologram sticker, not all holograms in Chanel bags are glued in straight. You will encounter authentic Chanel hologram stickers that are not lined up perfectly symmetric in the interior of the handbag. Chanel hologram stickers can and they do fall off. A missing sticker does not automatically mean that the Chanel handbag is a fake.

I hope this helps. Thank you.

Hi everyone im sorry to post this here but just a quick question for anyone that knows
I just recently bough a 1994-1998
Chanel Jumbo Caviar Silver hardware,
and this Chanel and made in france stamps are a fading gold color, the made in france is almost completely faded is this a red flag?
I have read that if its silver hardware it must be silver stamping.

Get ready to scream stupid you. I found a Chanel drawstring bucket bag in a consignment shop and purchased it. Used it and used it and one day went to clean it out. I mean clean not just empty and thin the contents. There was something all gummed up and white way down in the corner so I removed it. We all know what I removed right. Right. This was years before this forum existed, btw. So the day comes when the purse is looking lackluster so I took it to the boutique and off it went to spa, no questions asked. When it returned it looked brand spanking new. They had replaced the chains and the black was black as new.

So perhaps you have the bag I removed the sticker from, or there is my twin out there in the universe! Enjoy your purse and use it in good health always!

Hi. I think this is a red flag. From what I know, the color of the hardware should be the same color of the stamp.

Hi,
I just bought a vintage drawstring Chanel bag in beige in New York. I thought it is from the 90s. The condition of the handbag - uff, it was used a lot obviously. But the quality of the leather is excellent. I took it to the Chanel boutique and they told me that it seems to be older, more like the 80s. And that the quality looks very authentic. But the problem was that Chanel boutiques do not authenticate bags any more. They also told me that the bag is so old and there are no marks of authenticity inside as they are in todays bags. From the outside they told me it looks very authentic but they can not tell me for sure because of the inside. Please can you help me? Could have the inside been removed? Or if it was used a lot, could the Chanel labels have been worn off? Thank you so much!
