Thanks for your reply

I’ve been looking for a nice dark navy blue for ages too, it was my final “must have” Chanel colour so I went with that one

The tweed would probably definitely be wearable for me too but I already have a black and a white Chanel bag (both leather) so the tweed isn’t a colour that is completely vital to me

When you say the tweed is in a league of its own, do you mean Chanel tweed generally, or this particular black / white one? I feel like I’m getting fomo because a lot of people seem to be getting it but I made the sensible / non-impulsive decision to go with the navy

Edit: I’m also wondering if the tweed is something different for my collection, as all of my other Chanel bags are leather
I’m glad you got the navy. After going to the boutique yesterday, I popped into fendi and they had a gorgeous navy woven peekaboo that tugged at my heart. But I was turned off by the silver hardware. If you absolutely want your navy bag to be chanel, you’re probably set.

I meant the chanel tweed in general. I love how the patterns are unique per season and the rich textures from the bag can really add to an outfit. In terms of the black/white one from this season, it’s clearly quite popular and a beautiful bag so I see why your torn. I specifically am looking for tweed because I want something different from leather and I think it’s very classic to the brand. (Spoiler: texted my SA and I’m going back for the other tweed with pearls tomorrow).

Thank you :)

Yes the Chanel tweed generally seems lovely, I will look to add it in the future too; as you say, it’s something different from leather. I’m sure there will be lots of options along the way, I love some of the brighter, summery coloured tweeds that get released

Post pics of your tweed once you have it!!

I have lots of Chanel black bags and two whites ones, so I know what mean when you say tweed isn’t completely vital to you. I have a somewhat navy-ish Chanel as well, but I do like and want this top handle one. I like the color very much, better than my current one, and I do have FOMO for the style/color. I will probably try finding it next week, unfortunately can’t right due to my schedule. It is definitely for me the sensible decision, because although I like tweed, I prefer my bags in leather. As careful as I try to be, I seem to snag my tweed clothing inadvertently, which would make me sad. Also knowing myself, I would be bothered quite a bit, even not like the bag as much, knowing that it is damaged, fraying etc. I prefer the more if not absolute durability of leather bags. I want the bag you got! Good choice. Lucky you!
