The leather on this backpack is “looser” - it’s not tightly packed together the way it can be on flap bags. That was done on purpose, because it’d be weird if the backpack was hard and rigid. It reminds me of vintage backpacks - they had this vibe and they look like this over time and I’m ok with it. The line down the front is annoying but just know this bag is meant to have a looser construction of the leather, if that makes sense. Maybe you should try to find a replacement. But if you do find one without a lot of wrinkles know that this is the look of the bag and overtime will have this aesthetic. Do you find the chains to be heavy?

These aren’t imperfections. This bag is meant to look like that. Some will look better than others but the caviar is not meant to be flat and rigid like on the flaps or even the caviar Filigree backpack. The bag is going to wrinkle like this. You either like the vibe or you don’t.

i was originally on reserve for this but since i have the 21p gold i decided to pass and get something else. This is beautiful as well and actually thought of letting go of my 21p for this but changed my mind because last years has more “texture” which i like a bit more. However if i didn’t have the 21p is get this one

Thanks @kathykim . Yes, I'm so undecided! The wrinkling on the lower right side next to the hand makes me think the treated leather is dry. Hoping someone who got it/seen in person can chime in.

Ah makes sense - thanks for sharing the feedback! The chains have some weight to it but they are fairly thin compared to the gigantic chains on 19 bags. They sorta feel like a normal cf leather chain and the weight doesn't bother me at all!

I am thinking about this bag too… I think it will match more outfits in the summer… Of course black, white, beige, or any neutral will work also. I am waiting to see it in person. If the lambskin is nice and puffy, I might go for it. Still in the good price point.

I heard from a different SA that the chain isn’t heavy at all and she’s obsessed with this backpack so I gave it a shot!:P

Ooh, no I did not know that. I assumed it’d be lighter, but then again it does have a lot of chains…I figured it couldn’t be too different from the vintage Duma backpack. I hope it’s not too heavy to the degree it’s not practical.

Hope it’s not that heavy that it would bother me so I gave it a shot! Rang up already on hubby’s name so I can save mine for the light pink CCH :yucky:. It should arrive on Monday or Tuesday right on the Lunar New Year Day!:loveeyes:

P.S. I really hope I’ll like it in person just like how I love the 21S white caviar mini top handle! I didn’t like the top handle at all until I got the bag in my hands!
