When I was waiting for my beige claire, I was ready to accept either small or medium whichever is available.

For the beige cf I declined the small and was offered the medium in a few weeks
can you ask them when medium cf is expected, where are you located, I was told the red isn’t here yet, hoping it comes soon

Take it! I wish I got my CF in small. I think the red would be better in a size small. And the strap is slightly longer for the small so you can wear it crossbody.
I like the proportions of the small cf a little better than the medium, but everyone feels different! Have you tried the small before? This seasons red looks beautiful.

The thing I’m worried about with the small is how it will look on my frame/how much it can hold. I have a thin frame but I’m 5’7” and like to wear heels, so I’m worried the small will look weird on me. Also, would the small hold an iPhone, flat Chanel cardholder, LV key pouch, and two lip products? That’s what I usually carry with me.
Also, if you love the color red, take it. It could take you several years to come across another red flap you like. Your SA will probably not wait all day for you to decide so maybe you can YT some videos on the small since you’re not familiar with the size.
As someone who has purchased Chanel bags consistently for 5 yrs and am very particular, if everything about this bag is what you want (color, hardware, leather) and you’re agonizing over a one inch difference you got to jump on it. The variations Chanel does can be dizzying and you can literally be waiting for years on a red flap. The different red hues they make are endless. The small dimensions are better imo as well. You can always get another color in the medium in the future.

You can fit all that. The small is only one inch smaller in width. And I don’t think the small will look weird on you at all. I’ve seen influencers who are taller than you and that size looks great. Not sure why you think it wouldn’t work on your frame.

Thank you all so much for your advice! I texted my SA back and asked her if I could reserve the 22S red medium, and if not that I’d be happy to take the 22P red small. She is going to help me reserve the 22S medium as soon as she has the buy books. At the end of the day, I’ve been dreaming about a medium red CF for almost 10 years, and I knew I wouldn’t be completely happy without that size and color.
Hi, I’m located in Washington, D.C. (the Tysons VA boutique). My SA did not mention any red mediums coming for 22P, but she’s reserving the 22S red medium for me.
