Are you referring more to the caviar used on the top handle minis or more generally the caviar used for the season, even on classic flaps?
I’ve got medium classic flap in light pink and in comparison to my WOC that i’m wearing non stop for the past 3 years it looks so much more delicate. So i was wondering is it just because it’s fresh and new or the leather is different this year.
Even my lambskin CF feels more sturdy, with harder sides and bottom.

A bit late but my chevron beige small cf finally came in! This is my first chevron flap, it is so gorgeous in person! I agree with everyone who said it tends to the pinker side compared to beige clair too.

A quick pic, thanks for letting me share :D

Btw i also think the leather is less sturdy compared to my black caviar cf, might be this seasons leather is different

I see, I noticed this season’s tiffany green caviar classic flap seems to have a softer grain but I thought it was just for that colour because I haven’t heard anyone else mention about the leather until now. Black caviar classic flaps typically have the toughest leather somehow.

I have the same issue with my 20B jumbo, it’s a much softer caviar compared to other seasons’ coloured jumbos. Even the flap is flexible and other seasons’ feel as if they almost have a cardboard backing inside the flap and is not as flexible. I was at the boutique a few times to feel other seasons’ coloured jumbos and the classic black jumbos, asked a few SAs about this and whether it affects the longevity of the bag and their answer is no (but I’m not sure). They only mentioned seasonal colours may use a different caviar leather (sometimes shiny, sometimes softer) as compared to the classic black. I try to console myself by saying it’s a different feel and look, perhaps intended for the burgundy colour I purchased with shw, so as to make it look less dated and less dull since it has a shinier caviar. Perhaps it all boils down to individual preference and whether you mind it . Personally, if I had noticed the softer leather before purchase, I would not have bought it. I wanted to buy caviar for its durability and sturdiness. I don’t even know if this counts as declining quality or if it can just be brushed off as “a different leather”.

Thanks for great reply. You are absolutely right we are buying caviar for it’s durability and sturdiness. I was just generally wondering is just me or it’s this season caviar. With any darker color i would prefer lambskin, but with light pink i was worried about color transfer and longevity. It’s still absolutely gorgeous, most beautiful pink i’ve seen so far, will never return. Guess just have to be super careful and do not expect it last 10-15 years

Hi all, thanks so much for letting me know your thoughts I really appreciate it. It was really helpful
Yes, I know this bag is almost impossible to get. I got mine from a reseller after trying really hard to get in the boutiques to no avail.
I had it for some time and was wondering about those, I know it is really hard to get hence I also wasn't sure if I wanted to ask the question, that's why it took a while.

But it's more for my own assurance I guess since as I got it from a reseller then I'm also worried regarding the condition but your words have definitely given me the assurance I need. Thanks so much all!

I agree too that all bags have some imperfections. Thanks so much for your kind wishes!

I could not get this bag and tried so hard...

Hi all, saw a chanel 19 picture from IG and it looks like a maxi size in beige . Does anyone know if there’s any small size in the same color for this season? I know there’s a light beige NC026 and dark beige NC027 in small this time but they look differently compared to this one. TIA
