I saw on IG that at least 2 others had the same chain kinking issue (& they also had issues w the leather part of the strap separating more than normal, creating a bigger gap at times from the chain) w the new caramel mini, so it's not just you.

Yes OMG! Just thankful there’s no dot specs on the bag. Otherwise, I’m shipping it back. Just the chain alone bothers me.

Hi, I got my mini caramel last wk. I had issues with the chain kinking. I didn’t want to return it because I might not get a replacement so I’ll just deal with it. Just annoying that it’s not in perfect condition.
Same. It's my first mini, so thought it was an issue specific to minis because the chain is 'fixed'.... It's annoying, but I'll deal with it.

This is another thing that sucks about all this artificial scarcity!! There is no incentive at all to deal with quality issues because we are so lucky to get our hands on anything in the first place, especially if it's a unicorn. You could send it back, but it might be impossible to find another one, and then that one might have something else wrong with it anyway. So we hold onto bags that have defects that are not really excusable given the skyrocketing prices we're paying, just because they are so darn hard to get and the alternative is not to have one at all. This happened to me with a HTF jumbo last year that had a DEEP scratch on the turnlock--I should probably sell it because I'm still kind of salty about it, but it's just so pretty otherwise and even if they come out with a similar one later, who knows how hard that one will be to get. :annoyed:

Yes, mine was like that too. I took it back to my SA and they straightened out the chain and now it's perfect :). Maybe take it back to your SA and ask them to straighten it out? I know some boutiques will also take it in for repair and give a new strap.

This is stunning!! Can you tell me what the interior colour is? And how does the leather feel in comparison to a lamb/goat 19? (I'm pretty sure this one is calfskin). Thanks!!

The interior of the tie dye 19 is a purple canvas. As for the tie dye vs lambskin, the calfskin is actually just as soft as the lambskin and less wrinkly. Maybe because of the dye job? But they Both feel pillowy soft and divine :heart:
