I can’t resist posting anymore. These “personal shoppers” have to be stopped. They give a bad name to REAL personal shoppers.

I was late to the game and only found out about the iridescent ivory color like a month ago, and really wanted in the mini. In a moment of weakness I contacted an IG “personal shopper” about the price. There were a pair of sneakers I wanted from a previous season and asked them to source it as well. This reseller totally ignored my request for sourcing of the sneakers and just wanted to sell their hoard of htf chanel bags.

My family has a VERY long purchase history with Chanel, and we buy clothes and other things every season. We were not able to get any of the caramel, ivory or even rose color because of these greedy reseller hoarders. If I studied Chanel every time they came out with something new, I’d probably be able to get it, but since when has shopping turned into a job?! I miss the days of being able to walk into Chanel and purchasing what makes my heart sing, rather than sit here and study early so I can get ahead of these scumbags. Until they do something about this, I refuse to purchase, the price increases are enough.

I think it may be time to call Chanel customer service and make a verbal complaint over the phone. Venting on TPF won’t do anything. I encourage others to phone and express your outrage.

Was venting about this to one of my SA's. She hasn't gotten much in yet, told her not to forget I sent her pictures first if she gets any Caramel 19's or the Flap. lol.

thank you so much for responding. I’ve been after rectangle mini or cocohandle for weeks now and I’ve been messaging couple of SAs and they said not released yet and now suddenly apparently it’s out of stock. I do see resellers get it though but it’s priced £500 - £600 over retail and cannot bring myself to spend that much over retail. Don’t know if I should wait and see if somelne Comes back or give in to over RRP.

If they say sold out, they most likely mean in their location. There are still US store that have not gotten their allotment because of shipping delays with covid. If you can find a store that has not received theirs and does not already have a huge waitlist, you might get lucky. every store does it a little differently. I know for a fact that several US NM stores got their shipments of the m/l flap bag this week. One did a lottery for it, one had a waitlist, and not sure on the other couple but I know for a fact that a bag was offered to someone who was not on a waitlist for it at one of those stores. Nordstrom stores I know ordered the mini and I know some Neiman marcus stores ordered the coco handle. Good luck!

“Scumbags” is a pretty apropos term for people who hoard htf bags to flip a profit and then lurk this forum trying to get information or pretend to help!

I’m not sure how waitlist works. I asked to be listed when it was released on the runway/ and followed up when the book is out. And now the SA says only 2 units vs 40 names. And Those 2 were already shipped out ? Is the reservation a joke now!

i think every store runs it a little differently. Which bag are you looking for?

Has anyone purchased from chl_couture? I noticed she posted pics yesterday that were the exact same photos that my SA sent me around the same time. I don’t know if she’s using the same SA as me or if the store shares the photos across all the SAs. But it’s the same hand in the photo that I have.

Nope haha- it’s the avocado green cardholder and the two other slgs after it. My SA sent me those photos in those exact order yesterday as well. Did those get posted on other accounts?
