I asked a Paris-based shopper for the price of a caramel medium classic flap and she quoted me 7150 euros...which is almost $8700 usd. The bag all in with tax for me if purchased at a boutique would have come out to $7500. And it doesn’t include international shipping and customs duties. So insane!!
Some people just read though, and I think it is unfair to assume people who don’t post a lot are resellers. I try to stay off of here when I am not in the market because I inevitably find more things to buy! Case in point, I came on here looking for a source for the caramel flap and now have a long list of “wants.” Like all of you, I have found it is much harder to source my wish list now than it was when I bought my last Chanel bag in 2018. I come here looking for leads on the items I want. I hope I can repay the favor for some members in the future. I too am frustrated by the resellers, especially since I feel they are contributing to me not getting the bag I want. But I hope with help from some of you, I will find it. I hope these resellers won’t keep the people from helping others on here. Then they are our only hope for getting bags.I was wondering about that, if any of you have been getting DMs from people with no post history and are new members? I want to give people the benefit of the doubt but also got kind of scared they are just resellers trying to take up more stock
Hey guys. I’ve never purchased a Chanel bag before, but the new caramel classic flap has made me decide to take the plunge. Can someone explain how availability works with the seasons? Are the bags that are part of 21p only going to be sold until they drop the next collection, or will they be available all year? Trying to decide if this is something I need to pull the trigger on ASAP or not.
Is it coming in rose clair for the small coco handle? I have not seen a picture.
If you find it, buy it since inventory is limited and there’s waiting lists. As long as a boutique has it, they’ll sell it. When a collection is released, they put old stock in the closets in order to showcase new products but they’ll still sell it to you if you ask and they have it.
Which pink do you prefer? I’m waiting for my rose clair to ship so I should get it on Wednesday. Can’t wait to compare it to my 19s
There wasn’t an actual picture of it (just the purse + color swatch) but my SA did show me that it was coming in the Rose Clair color. I just can’t remember if it was a mini or small.
Just an update, I got off the waitlist for the Caramel flap yesterday. I couldn’t believe it! 
I was #4, and apparently the person in front of me wasn’t allowed to purchase two flaps and decided to go with the Rose Clair instead. If you are that person, THANK YOU!!! I’m sooo happy that this is my first Chanel bag and thank you to everyone for all the input and being nice enough to answer questions. I am obsessed with my new baby!

I only have the iridescent pink in SLGs. I would love to own a CF in that color but wasn’t able to get one and I didn’t want to pay extra to buy from the resellers. The iridescent pink is a lot lighter than the 21P pink but honestly I like both colors. They are both unique.
I haven’t seen an actual picture either but saw a swatch somewhere on this forum.
