Thank you @BigAkoya! I finally received the half size bigger and they fit more comfortably. I might have to get the straps tighten in the future though. Your advices/recommendations are always soooo helpful.

I am so glad you tried on both sizes, so now you know for peace of mind and for your next pair!

Your shoes are beautiful! Congratulations on your gorgeous new shoes!

Here are the ankle booties. They are new this season, so they are probably still available in your size.

This is so classic, great choice! Do you happen to know if this is true to size? I am stumbling between black and dark red, and whether I should take my normal size, or size up a half/full size. Thickness of the socks is another factor. I also realized the sole is very thin in this style.

my Saks/bloomies has a very limited stock given that this style has been out for 3 months, so i might have a tougher luck to locate one.

Hi! I took my normal size, 38.
However, here are some observations for you to factor in depending on how tight you like your shoes to fit.

I wear my shoes on the loose side; hence a 38 pretty much fits me all the time.

For you... let's split hairs on shoe fit!
I have other Chanel boots, also 38, and I would say this bootie is a tiny tiny bit on the smaller side compared to my other boots. My other Chanel boots fit "normal" when compared to how my other Chanel shoes fit. If you tend to buy your shoes tight, I would try a half size larger as well as trying your regular size.

I think a good comparison is the turnlock loafer. A lot of ladies size up with this loafer, and my guess is because they wear their shoes tight. For me, I purchased the same size I normally wear, but that's because I wear my shoes loose. The turnlock loafer is another shoe that is smaller to me vs. say, the ballet. The espadrille to me is looser and fits like the ballet.
I hope these comparisons help.

I wear socks with these booties, and the socks I wear are a medium cotton weight. They are not the super thin nylon socks, so fit will also depend on what type sock you wear with it.

I love the sole. I did not want another chunky boot, and this one was perfect. It's not to thin at all, at least not to me.

One annoying this about this bootie is the leather interior. All of my Chanel boots (and shoes) have a smooth leather interior. This boot's interior is suede. Chanel did that to add character to the exposed zipper closure to give it a bit of a funky, raw edge look. It looks nice, but the tradeoff is when you slide your foot in with socks, it's not a "smooth" slide in, if that makes sense. It's like putting on sneakers with socks. I do wear cotton socks with it, so a nylon sock will make it smoother of course.

When you try on the shoe, don't let that suede feeling give you the impression the bootie is too small for you. Best is to try the bootie on first without socks and wiggle your toes to get a feel for the fit. Then try the booties on with socks.

I like the burgundy a lot! I almost got that color as well, but I actually want a red bootie, so I am holding out.:heart:
I actually want an ivory bootie with a black cap toe... that has been my wish for years!

If your Saks/Bloomies does not have them, try calling Chanel customer service and give them the code. They can tell you exactly what stores still have your size. I've done that few times (pre-COVID), and Chanel customer service actually contacted the store/boutique and a SA called me. I was surprised actually they offered this service.

Since you are considering the black or burgundy, maybe get whatever you can in your size as well as one size up. At least you know what size you need, and you can then decide on color.

I really love this bootie.. Chanel has not come out with a "lady-like" bootie for a while. Most booties have been super chunky.

Hope this helps, and I hope you find your size!

Thanks for your detailed insight, absolutely helpful when it comes to size fitting. Indeed I called Chanel customer service a few days ago and I was told that they are no longer in stock for size I want in black or red.

I feel like I get more “cost per wear” for the black. Dark red is gorgeous so can’t go wrong with either one.

I have not seen such a classic style from Chanel for a while, will try on the booties again at the store. I did realize with cotton socks it is harder to slip on (like you said about suede), which it bothers me a bit. I kept searching for the ear pull for a few times. I think the zipper indeed does help and ease a bit.

Well, if you really want the burgundy, don’t wait too long time is running out!

Here is the update of the booties size searching - went to Saks to try on the red booties in my size again (w/ and w/o socks). Length wise, it is just right. The width is a bit tight with socks on, hopefully it will stretch out after a few wears.
After a few days back and forth thinking, I've my heart set on the black. Salesperson said that this particular booties (in black) is extremely popular for some reasons. So I have ordered my size in black from the store inventory search system. Hope the order will be confirmed and shipped. Thanks @BigAkoya for your tremendous advice, this pair of booties is something that I will enjoy and treasure for a long time.

I randomly came across these from 23C recently; I don’t know how I missed them. I’m not supposed to wear heels anymore, but I’m hoping these will be forgiving.

I am usually not drawn to this Mary Jane ballet-style, but these are super awesome!

It's the sparkles AND the heel that makes it! If it were just leather, nah. If it were a flat ballet, nope.
But the sparkle with that chunky low heel makes it look really chic!

Looking at how they fit your feet and especially with the nice coverage around the ball width, they will be comfy on you.

Love them! Great find!

My first Chanel shoes but already know they won’t be my last…

Does anyone know what season they are from? The box doesn’t say. Also does the metallic leather View attachment 5741944
