I recently bought my first pair of ballet flats but I still haven’t worn them yet due to a lot of people recommending to get the resoled first. Unfortunately, I don’t trust any of the cobblers around me so I’m not sure what I should do! Is it a must to resole before wearing??

I wouldn’t recommend doing that until the shoes are quite worn. The cobbler will shave a lot from the sole, so best enjoy them first.

Does anyone have historical pricing information on classic lambskin Chanel ballerinas / ballet flats (they look like these, but with a lambskin toe rather than patent)? I still have a pair of classic black leather lambskin ballerinas that I purchased in 2004 (!). I'm trying to work out about how much I paid for them at the time. I know everyone follows bag pricing quite carefully, but I think historical pricing of classic Chanel ballerinas is interesting as well!

Hello! New to the forum, apologies if this was already asked..I just got the goatskin/grosgain slingbacks from the most current season. Does anyone have product recos on how to protect them before wear? They already have a bit of creasing..
Tried asking the SA but the Chanel boutique was relatively new at the K11 in Hong Kong and there was a bit

Anyone regret their shoe purchases? Or regret letting go of certain shoes? Lol.
I’m think of letting go of my classic heeled sling backs and espadrilles. I use my ballet flats and flat slingbacks much more. I love the espadrilles and do use them often in the spring/fall but not sure they really fit my style. I’m thinking of letting them go and start new just don’t want to regret it.

I am getting those sling backs! Why are you letting them go? Don’t wear heels day to day? They are so chic and look so good. Please let me know why you want to give them up so I don’t regret my choices. I also don’t wear heels daily but thought since these are low enough I could give them a try?

I love them but exactly, I don’t wear heels everyday. And last year I also got the beige bicolor flat slingbacks and I use those much more. I like keeping the heeled ones for special events or client meetings but it’s not often enough so I feel bad. The heel high is perfect, the shape is beautiful. One annoying thing is the strap sometimes slips. I think it’s more my heel as they both do that (though the flats not so much as my feet doesn’t slide forward). Hope that helps. I think they’re a great shoe so hope I haven’t discouraged you! I may end up keeping them though as they are classic and will never go out of style.
