Thank you!!! Do you ever get new soles put on the bottom of your flats?

Hi! No... I never put on new soles. I have purchased a lot of ballets and I don’t put new soles on because I think it ruins the look. It makes the sole thicker. Plus, I have seen ballets where there is a new half sole and I think it looks cheap. In my opinion, the whole point of wearing a chanel is the beauty of the line of the shoe.

And here’s the thing... with all of my ballets, the leather gets beat up first before the sole wears out. I have never had a “hole” in my sole but I have had beat up leather which then it’s time to get a new shoe. I do replace my heels regularly. I see so many people who never replace their heels and it’s also not a good look.

There will come a time when the ballet is beat up and the shape is gone. It’s time for a new shoe because now, it’s no longer a nice chanel ballet, it’s just an old beat up shoe.

By the way, if this is your first ballet, don’t mess with the bow! I once untied my bow thinking I could tie it back. Wrong! That shoe was forever ruined and looked horrible. Now... I don’t even buy a new ballet if the bow is not straight in the box. So... don’t mess with your beautiful bow!

I hope this input helps.
Enjoy your beautiful shoe!

Thank you for this! Sorry it’s taken me a while to reply. I need to check the bows. I haven’t looked at them since I bought them. x

does anyone have issues with the sling back on their chanel slingback shoes sliding off their ankle as you walk?

it's happening alot to my right foot where it just slides down after a few steps and i have to literally pull it back up every few steps which is embarassing and not to mention, exhausting :(

the shoe fit is fine, but that sling...

if anyone has any recommendations on how to fix this, please let me know! TIA!! <3

You could try those strappy strips from foot petals or hollywood tape (double sided tape). If the elastic has stretched, I would probably bring them to a cobbler.

Any shoe repair /shoe maker should have those sticky velevet thingies to stick up by the elastic. Works like magic to keep elastic in place!

I have exactly the same problem but with my left foot. It seems to only occur when walking on the pavement versus carpet! I bought some tape from Foot Petals as that seemed to be the best solution. I have not tried used the tape but the comments on here and online were positive.

Yes so true!! It’s mostly when I’m walking on pavement [emoji33][emoji33]

I have some good days where it cooperates but most of the time it just slides.
I’ll check out Foot Petals. Thanks!

If I can only pick 3 pairs... what do you guys think are top 3?
