It’s the same season. That pearl on the heel was part of the 2013 season. Your slingback with the pearl is not part of the classic collection for sure. I would not pay a premium thinking they are classics.

If you are after the classic slingbacks, I would not settle. Those slingbacks in the photo are not even close. The classic slingbacks have a block heel which is part of the look. It is a chunky heel. The toe/vamp is longer than your photo, and the slingback is elastic, not a buckle as in your photo.

The key is the block heel that makes the classic slingbacks so cool. The kitten heel in the photo does not create the same effect. I own three pairs and love them to death. They go with everything where as I think the slingback in the photo will have limited use.

I would go for the classic slingback in my humble opinion. Maybe google Chanel slingbacks jeans and get inspiration for the chunky heel classic slingbacks.

Good luck!

Well said Willeyi!
I never wanted them but you made me want to go and try them on :)

I think it being a classic and the history behind them has me sold even more. Even though they are a classic, I know they have been hard to get at times. Is it still that way?

I am going to Paris in less than 2 weeks and would love get a pair there. I am hoping they aren’t cleaned out!

What colors do you have? I have also been contemplating the all black and grey/black combo.

When they first came out, the beige black was nearly impossible to get and resellers were asking sometimes $1,000. But it’s not as bad these days.

I have the beige with black toe, beige with white toe, and ivory with black toe. I love them all, but if I could only have one, it would be the beige with black toe. I wear that one a lot... and if you googled Chanel slingback photos, you will literally tons of modeling shots with the beige ones and they look great with just about anything.

I think the grey with black would also be nice as the contrast toe is so classic Chanel and part of the appeal of this look. For me, I have several Chanel black on black shoes (Pumps, Ballets), and I wear them the least so now, I don’t even look at all black shoes except for their boots.

I think you can find a pair in Paris. The flagship store might be tough as there are tons of tourist, but if you have a not so popular size, you may get lucky.

Good luck and have fun in Paris!
I am not sure if you have been to Paris before, but if not, may I suggest you check out Angelina? It is a pastry shop (officially called a tea house), and they have the best hot chocolate and pastries! The hot chocolate is to die for... world famous...google to check them out! And it’s not a far walk from Chanel. The street it is on (rue de Rivoli) has a lot of souvenir shops so that is fun too.

Have fun! I love Paris and I hope you have a lot of fun!

Hi! I know I need more pictures to fully authenticate an item, but I just wanted opinions on these 2 photos. They are for the all black classic slingbacks. All the Chanel shoes I’ve ever purchased from the boutique have not come with a care card that looked like that. It’s usually a more square envelope with Chanel in silver on the front. I also posted the photo of the box to see if y’all think anything is off because I know labels can vary depending on where purchased. Thanks for your time!

Hi!! Does anyone know how to re tie the bow or make it look not sloppy!? My toddler got a hold of an older pair on ballet flats and I am really upset. I sent them to a reputable rehab shop and they said they could fix the bows but when I got them back.... not so much. Crying

Hi. Based on my experience, it’s never the same. I have a lot of ballets and with my first pair, I was playing with the bow and made the mistake of undoing it to retie it again. Big mistake! I was never able to get it back to the original nice straight, flat bow that is exactly centered.

I would just try to live with it, and if you can’t stand it (like me), if it’s a classic color, just make that pair your beater pair and get a new pair which is what I did. I could not deal with a crooked sloppy looking bow so I purchased a new ballet. Mine was the classic beige one so it was an easy replacement.

From that experience, I never touch my bows and whenever I order ballets, I tell the SA to send me a photo of the exact shoe and let them know I will return it if the bow is messed up, even if it’s the last pair. [emoji1]

The bow, once messed up, is hard to put back. I’m sorry this happened to you.
