Hi everyone

I am new here but I just want to share my excitement about the Shiva flap bag. I bought mine in Paris last month and I am in love with it. I would just take it out and look at it! Haha... my husband thinks I am obsessed!

I am not sure if mine is the medium or large though. Can someone enlighten me... exactly how many sizes are there? Initially I thought there are just 2 and I bought the bigger of the 2. Now that someone said there are 3, I am confused. In any case, I like the size I bought as I have a long wallet and I like to carry quite a fair bit of things around, including a big sunglass case.

Here's a pic of my gorgeous black Shiva , large I think. The picture does not do it justice. You need to look at the actual thing and see the glazed leather look to appreciate the edgy look!

I was PM'd by a few for pictures of my sueded iridescent Shiva being modeled - so here it is - both worn cross body and on my shoulder. It is hard to see the leather - it is sueded, matte but slightly shiny, and has wire inside so it is very flexible. I think this was seasonal so you would need to find a pre-loved. Note I am tall so adjust for your own height :)

Also, if someone knows how to watermark let me know..

Borrowed from one of the tpf'er from the 2013 sales and return section. Is the darker red one on the right hand side part of Shivas collection? Does anyone know the exact name of this bag?

Hi all from 2019!

I also posted this question in the only other Shiva Flap thread I could find (from 2015). It seems not a lot of people who own this bag discuss it much anymore. I just got the larger one from a consignment seller and I wonder after years of use, do your Shiva Flaps have this “bend” in the middle? I understand that this crumpled leather gets even softer with time so having weight in it would pull on the chains and cause this “bend” in the middle. Did it also happen to yours? I wonder if there’s a way to prevent it from getting worse... I hope Shiva owners will still check these threads! Thanks!

I don’t have this bag, but I wonder if you wear it with only one strap, like sluvschanel upthread, if the part of the leather strap that goes across the top of the bag would help prevent the top of the bag from sagging or at least camouflage it?

Hi thank you for your reply!

I did try wearing one strap letting the leather part go across the flap, however that bend is so soft and severely creased that it still pulls the flap and turn the leather strap part into an arch :shocked: I mean I did buy the bag because of its soft distressed leather but I totally did not expect the flap would do this. I’ve been googling images of the Shiva in the wild and none of the images have sagged/bent flap but then again those images were from when it was first released so I now wonder if current owners have the same issue...
