Thank you PP! Yes, it was fantastic summer evening!
BTW do you feel some strange smell from the gray pleated dress from last winter? It has some faint but horrible smell.
The beige that I bought from the same season has this problem. The smell comes stronger when the dress is wet. I was going to the gym a couple of weeks ago and it was raining cats and dogs. The dress was all wet I put in the locker for an hour. When I went to pick up my clothes I felt this horrible smell, thought it was coming from someone sweaty, when I opened the locker I found out it was coming from my dress! [emoji15] so I washed it immediately and put it 2 times in conditioner, while it was drying the smell was still strong, after it was completely dry the smell disappeared. When I washed my gray dress it was the same. I wonder if it's coming from the chemical that they used for fixing the pleats.

Hi ari, I have heard some wool smells if it gets wet, although it could be the quality of the wool defective ( maybe chemical they use). I would love to know what type of shampoo & conditioner you use to wash your wool? ( if you don't mind sharing)I'm so
Sick of dry cleaning and the chemical they use which can be too harsh for my skin/clothes.

I apologize if this has already been discussed (went back a ways and couldn't find it) but has anyone gone for the navy blue/black tweed midi-coat (look #10) for fall? Thoughts? It seems quite sweater like! Love the ruffled collar but am concerned a bit about the length... Thank you in advance! View attachment 3793363

I saw this today, it was almost down to my feet (5' 5.5"), it's really long.

Oh! I thought you said this one was itchy on you at the waistband?? We must have been talking about different skirts haha. So glad it avoided the red wine disaster! This style is so pretty and such an attractive price. Now I need to add it to the list  Thanks a lot!

I love the Ritz skirt, I have both the black and the cream. They are to me the perfect classic pencil skirts, simple but with just the right amount of beautiful detailing. The cut is more fitted than the Robot, which is also a favourite (and looking to add).

A sweet little tunic dress in the same tweed as the Larkie jacket !

What a cute dress. My boutique is slow in receiving the items.

The one with the leather trim has the Gabrielle logo written across the leather belt. It wasn't to my taste. It is also much more expensive due to the leather details I think. It was mid weight. Maybe not quite as warm as my Max Mara coat.

I think the VP car coat will be about the same or a bit lighter judging by the jacket that I purchased in the same fabric.

I'm wondering how heavy the black one is. I love the cuffs. I think you should stick with your plan to get the longer coat since you have a knee length coat. It's very elegant and I feel like longer lengths are making a come back. I have my longer Max Mara so I might go for the knee length black coat.

I also tried this coat. The fabric is gorgeous. It's very heavy and warm (not a negative for me. I need warm) but the shape didn't work for me. The pockets really flared out at the hips.

And I don't mind having a lot of black and blue. I'd be happy with those colors alone in my wardrobe- maybe with some white thrown in for summer.

Yes, this leather trimmed one is expensive, but if the logo is on the belt, one can always change it. Dior is to blame for this logo mania!
I think this length will go easily with longer skirts, shorter skirts and pants!
I thought the coat on the picture was quite boxy! What color is exactly?
So you'll wear VP as another jacket, if it's not warm to wear it as coat.
Yes, maybe it's better to stick to my original plan [emoji16]

I am agog. 25-30 ?!?!?!

The plaid jacket is a special piece! My store still has the 40 w the scarf. View attachment 3793267

I like ari's blouse. Could not pull that look off :)

Here's my birthday outfit. I wasn't sure the top goes w the skirt but it was nice to wear it out ! I think the silver of the shoes goes w the necklace ha ha.
Happy birthday gorgeous! [emoji898][emoji322] love your outfit, shoes are perfect!
So cute! Looks great with jeans.

Haha this is true...
25-30 of the jackets? I actually believe this, as every time I go to the boutique they suggest it and have multiple sizes to try. Maybe they thought it would be more popular?

Happy birthday! Your outfit looks beautiful! Perfect!
ailoveresale, thank you [emoji4]
In obsessed with this outfit! You are an expert at styling Chanel, Ari!
cafecreme, you are too kind! Thank you!
Love this and you were the inspiration for me to get the gold sneakers!
Thank you twin !

I love how it's styled here, I got the jeans, they are a bit strange [emoji38] they don't have side seams. The coat is beautiful, I like it, but I don't need another voluminous coat.
You rock it ! [emoji94]
Pourquoipas thank you [emoji4]
Love this, ari. Great outfit. Perfect for a jazz festival too!
chaneljewel, thank you [emoji4]

I remember I had a very smelly merino wool from Wolford, but Chanel [emoji848]
I use mostly this Italian brand, they claim that it's natural

Agree the logo mania is terrible. I was going to buy some blue Dior but I decided to stick with Chanel instead.

The coat in the picture is blue. You can't see it from the photo but it's really an odd shape. There are vertical pockets at waist level where you can put your hands and then a second set of pockets at the hips that flare out and look bad. It's a shame. The fabric is very luxurious.

I think I would wear the VP coat here where I live in the suburbs because I'm in the car most of the time. I would wear it as an outside coat and take it off inside. I will wear the shorter jacket as an inside jacket at work or for casual times as I wear my other jackets. I will wear the black coat more as a city coat if I'm walking in the cold outside. Either coat is probably only good to wear over sweaters and blouses, not over jackets. To wear over jackets on particularly cold days I have my max mara and you have your knit sleeve. Of course on many days here I just wear a short tweed jacket and a scarf and I'm fine without a coat because I'm in the car.

Is it just me or are coats really complicated? This is why my coat selection has been a mess. I really need to think through what I will wear. Coat over jacket? Just a jacket? Just a coat? Then add in the factor of the length of skirts and it gets very confusing. I will probably look for a camel max Mara that isn't too bulky and that should cover my needs. I also have a light and a darker trench and I bought the style that is medium fit so it fits over light jackets.

I can see why you focused on having nice sweaters. Once you have a nice coat you need nice sweaters to wear under it. I think I should focus next on blouses and sweaters.

Which pleated dress is this from, Ari? Is it Paris Rome?

Thanks for your bday wishes :)

Now I am trying not to get the robot black skirt aggggh [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji2][emoji2]
These 2 dresses have this problem

Have you tried the robot skirt? It's a bit different than the Cosmopolite.

I think one can never have enough coats. Coats are major investment usually. We have 4 months of winter, with some very cold days in January and quite a bit of snow. Some days I go from one garage at home to the garage at work, but I just don't dare to go with my jacket only, what if the car broke, and I needed to walk [emoji23][emoji23][emoji28], seriously !
I don't like the look and the feel of coat over jacket, especially now with the big shoulders. I feel restricted in my movements, not the mention the football [emoji458] player silhouette!
I like to wear cardigans with a pretty blouse for more professional look under the coat. Sometimes I wear a nice sweater at work.
Some knee length coats could be worn with a longer skirt picking out, it is a look, but I'm not much in to it. And the boots, or short boots, yes it's really complicated.

Those
Are beautiful dresses Ari! I showed up too late to the game to get them. I hope the smell works its way out

I tried the robot and I love it w the black tee. It's a bit larger than the cosmopolite skirt but I think I would need the 40. I just hate things to be tight at my waistband. This was the 38, I suppose could always let it out a bit if needed ?IMG_1502638562.937588.jpg

These dresses are such gorgeous, classic pieces. Such a shame they are malodorous. I hope this gets straightened out soon.

The robot suit runs large. if the rest of the skirts fits, it is an easy fix just letting out the waist. My issue is with the hip area. I normally have to size up to fit the thunder thighs and then tighten the waistline. For the robot skirt the 36 fits generously whereas the Ritz skirt I had to go up to 38.

For the jackets, robot is 34 vs Ritz 38.
