I just got a classic jumbo brand new, the reissue is on my wish list but I really think it's more sensible to go preloved. The resale value is great for buyers and the distressed nature of the leather means it seems many remain in great used condition. Looking forward to seeing your new bag ❤
My understanding is that in terms of durability for plain leathers, from least to most durable from scratches, scuffs and wear:
Lamb, sheep, calf, goat, caviar lamb, caviar calf
But different finishes (metallic, coated, etc) change the durability (i.e. A coated calf may be less durable than sheep). Patent is durable against scratches and wear, but lighter colors are very susceptible to color transfer and discoloration color due to aging.
I agree! Unfortunately I was unable to find a preloved 225, I could only find 226 or 227! I saw that accordion too.

I thought the price on the accordion was great for a reissue. I almost bought it too, but I knew I'd regret it since I just HAD to have my dream bag. I paid full price for the regular reissue unfortunately, but in the end I'm happy. My SA said reissues really made a comeback, hopefully it stays that way for resale value!!
I just can't bring myself to pay retail (esp since I'm currently on unpaid mat leave til dec). I figure in the future if I want to buy the classic reissue I can sell the accordion and trade up [emoji12]

Lol i have a Scrooge for a hubby so I need to be cautious with spending in general! If I didn't have his Scroogeness next to me I would be buying the classic reissue right now!
