My one and only reissue. I try to take a good picture for instagram but it didn't turn out so well [emoji23]
And another picture with inside lighting.
I purchased this preloved and sent it straight to Leather Surgeon. The bag came back clean and nice looking. There're still couple scuff in the front flap and i try to decide if that bothers me or not.
Regardless, i think 227 is a great size and reissue is forever my favorite bag [emoji8]

Gave up and returned this so black reissue 226 because of the stitching issue on the flap (the one pictured below was the 2nd one I received prior to any use)
The first bag sent to me straight out of the box which was horribly packaged...
And the second one after wearing it just a couple of times. You can only imagine how horrified I was when I noticed the stitch hanging out while my SA at Cartier was processing a purchase.

Thank you for posting this. I was considering selling my glazed calfskin so black reissue from a couple of years ago and buying this instead but I may have changed my mind. I hope you find something else you love!
No problem! I also wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem but I had given up on it and decided to look for other things. It's unfortunate but hey, I gave it a chance and it wasn't meant to be. Thank you! I ended up getting a neo executive tote and a metallic woc instead.
It sounds like you found a couple of beautiful pieces! Maybe next season there will be a problem free reissue for you!
I just bought a reissue 225 and I'm finding the strap surprisingly heavy when worn cross body. I'm surprised because everyone said it was so light weight, which is why I bought it! I guess I'm used to my boy bag which is light and has the leather shoulder strap part to make it more comfortable.
So you find the Boy bag is lighter than 225? Interesting coz with the boy's thick chain I thought it would be heavier, and as you say, everyone says reissues are lighter!
Reason I ask is I am also after a 225 but have not seen or tried in person(never in stock!) I only have a 224.
Chanel boutiques can probably order one for you. I got mine from Hirshliefers but there are no returns. Yes I find it heavier than both my old medium AND new medium boy! The strap just digs into my shoulder. I'm really surprised and a bit disappointed, but then again it seems I'm in the minority in thinking this!
I agree with you. Reissue is heavier than boy because it is full leather, boy flap either old or new medium (i have both sizes) feel lighter because boys are not full leather.
Reissue chain digs into my shoulder ( i wore reissue 225) as well if i wear it crossbody for quite some time, unlike the boys they have the leather strap bit so it doesnt digs into your shoulder. Although the boy metal chain is thick, but they are not heavy.
Reissue is 'lighter' compared to classic flaps, but not to the boys.
I would say it depends how hard you are on your bags. I am fairly hard so this would happen to mine eventually, but not on a new bag. See if they can get you another bag..... if it truly bothers you it's not worth it. I honestly would keep it.
