current retail price for the 224 reissue is £2350. And I can confirm that it is available from the boutiques in seasonal colours. It is a lot more expensive than the mini classics and has double flaps - s0 basically like a miniature 'normal' reissue. can we have piccies now? PLEASE...

Just picked up this bag in Rome for the Wife. Guess we found a good one since it sounds like these 224s are quite elusive! I have been resisting the flap bag because I don't like the way they look on my wife (she is more of a tote person) but this one was just too unique not to pick up and looked great on her due to the small size. Also I have to admit that my "Husband Competitiveness" got the best of me when another lady at the store wanted every bag we picked out. We actually took the bag to the other end of the store but this lady kept hounding our salesperson, we won out

As always, thanks for the education lesson on what we picked up, the wife loves it and now she feels like a true Chanel owner (despite having multiple bags) with her Reissue.

thanks for the lovely photos! I know what you mean about some ladies 'hounding' I was at the boutique on saturday hunting for 224's and this 'lady' wanted to check out everything I was being shown! The sales person said to her 'sorry but this lady (me
) has priority' I kind of just made a gesture 'really its ok - let her see the bags' another sales person butted in and said 'oh are you not interested in the bag?" to which I replied 'not enough to wrestle her to the floor...' the sales assistants were practically in tears from laughter, but the other lady did not get it as I think her english was not up to that.

I got the blue one which was my first 224 in oct 2010 cruise collection in singapore. And the second one dark silver when I was on holiday in hong kong june 2011.
