Ladies. Are the reissues different in that it has 7 stitches per quilt vs. 10 or 11 on the classics?

If anyone could upload a pix of how the bag looks inside that would be great. I saw one where the leather lining is loosely adhere to the bag. Not as snug as the classics. Is this normal for those that have this bag?

Hi girls 🙂 Im so exited... waiting for my order to arrive, black chanel 224 reissue! Its second hand so Im bit worried if its authentic. Will use enticelers and hope that the condition is as stated (almost as new!) hope I didnt make a mistake on going for it [emoji16]

So I made measurements on a piece of paper to gauge the size of the 224. The bags that I own that are similar in size are the Chanel wocs and the Gucci disco. Anybody with the 224 also own these bags? Can you please give a feedback on its capacity compared to the woc and disco? Thanks in advance!

I have one 224 and two WOCs. The 224 fits more than the WOC because of its depth. It's almost twice as thick as the WOC. However, because it's double flapped, it fits less than the mini. Also, you do need a card holder or a small wallet for the 224 because it doesn't have the card slots like the WOC. So capacity wise, I would say it's between the WOC and the mini.

Hello muluver. Thanks for your feedback. I have 2 wocs and don't plan on adding another one (albeit the very tempting photos I see on tpf). I don't have a mini but if the 224 fits more than the woc, then it's good! Thanks again! [emoji3]

Hey!

My 224 is WAY bigger than either of my WOCs but significantly smaller than my Gucci disco. It is, however, easily my favourite out of the lot of them!!

The Gucci disco bag is deceptively large; I never even get close to filling it. I don't worry about over-stuffing it either because the leather / shape is so relaxed. I do avoid putting too much stuff in my 224 though because I don't want the bottom to sag. I don't know if it would sag or if I'm just being precious about it but it's my favourite bag, my unicorn! and I don't want to bust it haha.

Also I find the drop length of the Gucci / WOC handle / chains incredibly long. I only wear them when I'm wearing my huge leather Acne jacket as they fit the whole way around it. The 224, by comparison, is a much nicer cross-body chain length.

I agree that the disco is deceptively large. My husband calls it my magic bag coz it fits a lot.

May I please know your height? I'm 5ft 4in and the woc and disco are just right for me.

I'm 5ft 3.5in (the nurse always refuses to write down my height as 5'4''!!!!), so we're NEARLY the same haha.

How're you finding the 226??

Hahaha [emoji3] I was 5ft 5in before but I'm starting to shrink. [emoji16]

I love the 226. It fits my compact regular wallet (which fits in my disco too) so it's good I don't have to change into my card holder (I get lazy sometimes, lol).

Thanks again for your feedback on the 224. The reissue is my current love and I don't mind having all 4 sizes, even if it takes a few years to accomplish. [emoji4]

Ahhh I'm so glad you're loving the reissue! I only really use mini bags, which is why I'm so into the 224.
It's definitely a bag I'd re-buy but in a different material (a nice Chanel tweed!!!).
My one is black and gold...IT IS SO AMAZING.
I spent the longest time trying to decide between the brushed silver vs. gold, but when I saw them in real life the gold sang!!

Keep an eye out on all the second-hand online stores; Vestiaire sees 224 once every month or so!
